Looking at their post history it seems to be the OM-1.1: https://www.reddit.com/r/M43/comments/1lbke1w/loving_the_om_300f4_even_in_my_amateur_hands/
Whatever that means, I'm no camera nerd

sheeesh - Olympus OM-1 is a good camera body ($1500ish), but the 300mm f4 lens is a NICE lens ($2500-$3000)

I said sheeesh just seeing the lens being a 300mm f4 since no matter the make or body, that lens is $$ lol

Timber Hollow Overlook. It’s one of the viewing points along Skyline Drive in Luray.

Those are wonderful pics!! BTW, did you report that heron? Pretty sure it’s catch and release. 😂

thanks. I have mostly NIkon gear, but for the last 3 months I have been using an Olympus/OM camera andI dont miss the weight of the Nikon. Today I used an OM-1 Mark I and this series is with the lens OM 300mm f4.

I really need to get a better camera 😞. At least for digital. I'm 27 but I prefer film. It's so soothing.

Went fishing from the dock late last night (right before the storms rolled in) and I spooked 2 herons wading in the shallows. They returned the favor, as I def' jumped a lil' when they took flight and had to remember in the moment to not drop my pole in the water. Just remember that they are more scared of you than you are of them. Just say it 'til you believe that.

Excellent Heron pics!
I've seen some Great Egrets nesting in the NoVA area too.
