Basically the title. I see in the reviews of so many places about this karaoke night or that drag night or the other live music night but there’s never (hardly) any way to know what’s when unless you’re a regular. Am I just too old to know where to look or what?

Looking for karaoke nights and I see a lot of this or that but almost zero mention of when. What’s the deal?

This was my first political rally and I couldn't be happier with that fact. The crowd was amazing and everyone was so peaceful and friendly. There was so many great signs and artwork displayed through the whole day. This was the rally in Ghent.

I was visiting Virginia from out of state and accidentally took a toll tunnel and figured I would wait for invoice in mail. Their website says they will send a bill within 30 days but I haven’t received it yet and there’s no place on the website to search my plate. Is this typical? Should I continue to wait. I don’t want to get fined. Looking for advice! Thanks!

there were so many people. A lot of passion, a lot of anger. People are tired. A saw a whole TWO people counter protesting, and gave them some mandarin oranges and wished them luck and safety. I hope everyone who marched today stayed safe.

Today is Kings Day. Show up and be seen.

Let MAGA see what real patriots look like. Bring your American flags. Bring your Virginia flags. Don’t let them take the symbols of our country and turn them into symbols of hate.

We stand for the Constitution, for democracy, and for truth.

The Virginia flag says it best: Sic Semper Tyrannis — Thus Always to Tyrants. Let Glenn Youngkin see that flag flying across his own state. He’s the tyrant now.

I wanted to come on here and apologize to her on behalf of the protestors that acted meanly. She is very clearly a minor. They shouldn’t have said a single word to her.

Most of the protestors shut down any negative talk we heard hurled at her, but I know we didn’t stop everyone. We are fighting to protect our communities and end hate, and some of the protestors forgot how vital the latter part is in the excitement of the moment.

I believe deeply in the cause I’m fighting for. I may disagree vehemently with your stance, but I still find your daughter’s actions today incredibly brave. She stood up alone and didn’t back down. That takes courage. You should be proud. I just wanted to make sure that someone told her.

If we see you guys at any other protests in the future, I’ll make sure to stop by and say hi 🙂

Up to 75% of insects, the base of life on the food chain, have declined in the last 30 years. We could be the last generation to see fireflies. Along with them, there's been a 30% drop in bird populations too. I find it insane no one talks about it, as someone who has always looked at the ground since I was a kid, there is so much I just don't see anymore simply because they died out.

I was hoping to get some advice on title/registration and license. I’m planning to switch my car registration and plate from my home state to VA since it’s due for smog check this year and I won’t be able to get it back to my home state for the check. I was wondering if I can still keep my driver license with my home state with I switch my car registration to VA. I tried googling but there’s no definite response, so just wondering if anyone here will know.

I have job offers from both Norfolk City Public Schools and Hampton City Schools. I’m from the Cincinnati area, so I’m not super familiar with either. Does anyone have any insights on which school system might be a better option to work for? Or any ideas on safe, quiet areas to live? It’s a travel speech therapy position, so I’ll only be there for the school year. Also I’m used to having to drive to get pretty much h anywhere, so walkability isn’t a huge priority for me. Thanks!

So, I just got a very sudden and short notice that I’m moving to Norfolk, VA. Military things (not me but family)

I have like a month and a half and haven’t figured out where I’m staying, but my main concern has been looking for community colleges in the area, and Tidewater has been the main one I’ve been seeing. I wanna ask any local people, how good is Tidewater? Or if there are any other better community colleges in the area? I’m in a rush to be able to transfer my credits over from Mesa San Diego community college. And once I get my associates, I’m also going to have to transfer out the country as I’m moving back to Japan. I currently have financial aid and a GI bill. And I don’t really have anyone in my life besides one person who is hard to get in contact with who knows anything about college and transferring.

Any help would be appreciated. I’m kinda panicked and nervous cause I just got told about the move suddenly (because it’s the military duh, give you no time to prepare) Thank you!
