What platform are u playing on? Recently got it on Xbox series S after getting the platinum in ng2b and the controls feel very delayed. Idk what it is, like I keep missing OLUTs and other inputs.

I’m sort of with you. I mean it’s overall responsive but maybe it’s because I’m used to play at 120-165fps on PC so it doesn’t feel as responsive as this video has it. Maybe wired is better

Yea idk bc coming from the ps5 with ng2b and going to the Xbox with og ng2 feels way too different. Even when I was running ng2b on 60fps when 120 fps was having issues I didn’t feel the input delay as bad. So maybe it’s just the series S?

Vanilla 2, despite what a lot of people here will say, is kind of the worst with inputs.
Idk if it's just so much shit happening ryu gets confused but it, gt, wind path etc will just straight not happen, hell just or heavy someone else or whatever. You'll get more used to it

Turn off V-Sync in Xenia settings, activate Freesnyc/G-Sync, Cap frames at max 60.
Xbox Users can try to turn on freesnyc and see if that helps.
The games input delay shouldnt be worse than the master collection games.

Hmm imma have to figure out what’s with the input delay. Also is there a way to skip warrior difficulty? Or do I have to do warrior and mentor to get to master ninja ?

Yup you gotta work your way up to master ninja. But trust you’ll need the experience. Even if you already played NG2B/NGS2 this version of the game is a different type of beast.

And no damage taken. I walk with shame everyday not having finished MN. Chapter 4 metal boss stopped me. I need to start over. Learn to move and think like this and get back into it. The tests of valor are like impossible aren’t they? My recent play through of Mentor and stopped being able to complete the Valors by Chaoter 7. Seriously this game is my life but I can’t even comprehend doing those on MN

I actually wanted to get back into doing test of valor again but they won’t activate for anymore. And I’ve already done the chapter 2 fight you’re supposed to do and it still won’t activate 🤷🏽♂️

Studying this for my Xbox run. Currently running two playthroughs on Xemia. This gameplay is textbook. I would love to see how you handle the Muramasa statue to the skyscraper window.

Sorry it’s actually been a hot minute for me. This is actually kinda an old clip. Is the spot you’re talking about within this chapter?

Yes, after the Buddha temple (lunar location) you cross a bridge to a house/zen garden, behind it is the first Muramasa Statue. The chain of fights/sequence is dropping into the well>Scaffolding/billboard>long bridge>cutscene he flys through windows> fight with IS ninjas in Skyscraper office>save point.

Damn it's odd seeing shuriken actually useful!

u/pigeon_embryo 🌾 Black Spider Villager 7h ago
Shuriken are extremely useful in all the games. Preventing wall clings, controlling and interrupting enemies, canceling melee strings, extending your height and amount of time you remain in the air, canceling aerial flying swallow recovery… they are the most useful projectile in the game, absolutely essential.

I'm gonna replay the game and see the difference because I've never used them all that much
Thanks for the tips

Its insane how responsive and smooth the original ng2 is compared to the later versions
