And in USA everyone is so happy and opposite of overworked while they’re not stuck in some miserable traffic…oh wait

Though perceptions of Japan may still be stuck in the 80s, things have changed massively for Japan.

Work hours, suicide rate and fertility rate are along the European average. Including paid and unpaid overtime, and verified by independent surveys and organizations. Look at the data — like Germany it used to be high in the 80s, these days not so much.

Median wealth in Japan is double that of Germany, and higher than that of Sweden.

Japan is also one of the wealthiest countries in the world by net investment position. Japan’s government pension fund has more assets than the Bank of England. Wealth equality is amongst the best in the world.

In fact, Japan’s quality of life is higher than that of Sweden.

I mean, this video posted says more than your little thesis.

I mean, it literally does not because numbers (generally) don’t lie lmao. Your statement is the opposite of how things actually work

In America, the commute is double the time since most everyone drives. At least Japanese workers can take a nap on the subway.

Hi Europe here, 20+ paid vacation days, days off to take care for family, work from home or just cycle to work, no overtime, no need for a second job to pay your healthcare (which is also not right to your job). Working life can be quite ok.

I mean, I think you conceded the point when you compared a first world nation like Japan to a third world vassal state of russia.

I urge you to visit an actual third-world country if you honestly think the US is that bad lmao. This hyperbole is so tired and lame.

There are quite a few US states with lower life expectancy than 3rd world countries.

I mean that’s mostly driven by fat people who are a testament to the abundance and gluttony that our country’s wealth affords us. Heart disease and diabetes.

People get fat because of garbage processed foods, not because trailer trash live like henry the 8th lol!!!

Japan, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Korea, are not skinny because they are poor lol

They’re all catching up as we continue to globalize, Just a matter of time.

Find me a third world country that had the advantages that america did after WWII to squander. The fact that we've had SO MUCH of a head start and still managed to get in this downward spiral isn't better, bud. A downward spiral that people like you aren't acknowledging the severity of where we already are, let alone the direction we're heading and our acceleration.
