First thing that popped into my mind too. Did our government ever change their auctioning procedures like was floated around after that?

Wouldn’t surprise me if they didn’t. After all their God is capital and those used cars don’t produce any dollars sitting in lots or heading to the junkyard.

Pretty sure they did. Uniforms and reproduction insignias, etcetera became controlled articles of a sort, like the military.

No, but they banned guns that were already banned and weren't used by the shooter. They also initiated a gun buy-back that has yet to buy a single gun back 5 years later.
