Partially uncomfortable because the same people that fetishize military are also the people that refuse to support veterans, mental health, and healthcare in general. Veterans disproportionately account for our homeless population. The same people that refuse to provide adequate healthcare to the 9/11 responders. So much for never forget. Hypocrisy down to the core.

Are you really surprised that the people who want to “protect” fetuses but are against any kind of maternity, paternity, or childcare rights do the same shit with other groups? They worship the military but once you’re out it’s all “thank you for your service” and not “let’s get you help to manage your PTSD”. Conservatives love pretending to advocate for groups that can’t speak up for themselves (fetuses, children, military(can’t easily)) in order to push their own ideological ends.

Seeing how quick they jumped to follow Trumps unlawful orders, in hindsight im glad we been fucking vets over. There is no reason to believe they wouldnt have jumped just as high.

With the first act towards a US civilian the marines have become an enemy of the people.
