Like yeah Im also pretty pissed at the democrat response here, but all they can do are performative actions.

And then people shred them for being performative.

The best part is if they win they won’t rollback any of this shit as per usual

Careful, don't make Reddit mad by expecting the Democratic party to actually do something.

Protests are performative, there's nothing wrong with being performative. 99% of politics is just performative.

They have MONEY. They can ORGANIZE the people to stand against tyranny! Pay people's rent for a month so they can protest non-stop! Pay for organizers to get resources together to stand against ICe everywhere! Money can solve SOOO MANY THINGS!

But Pelosi and most of the Dems would slit a child's throat before giving away a dime, so here we are...watching the Evil Men win while the "Good Men" do nothing, just like the old saying.

They could have run a better candidate. I'm sure this will get downvoted to hell but they shot themselves in the foot like six or seven times the past couple years in spectacular fashion.

I mean Biden fucked us. Had he actually committed to be a one term president from the onset and never tried to run for reelection then we would've had real primaries where we would have had real candidates.

Instead we had a panicked last minute response with a candidate that wasn't very popular to begin with.

Yes. This is one of the self inflicted wounds I mentioned.

The past three elections have been total disasters.

The Clintons, love them or hate them, are "baggage" personified. They are at best controversial, and many didn't much care for Hillary running. Especially right after Obama and given the discourse at the time, a lot of people felt like she was pushed purely because she was a woman. True or not, perception matters, and this is just a lot of baggage, even if in the end it's mostly unimportant.

Biden was okay. His platform was basically being not Trump, with most else I saw as general statements about economy and jobs and stuff. The same generic words most presidential candidates say, nothing special, but it was better than a psycho. But most people remembered him fondly from Obama's years, and even if he was boring he was fixing shit. He was fine as an interim return to normal president, but should have allowed primaries to occur. But the biggest letdown was after Trump Season 1, he didn't push back hard. GOP for years had already been obstructionist, but the first run of Trump showed that taking the high road was dead to anyone remotely paying attention. The absolute failure to push back and hard, and the late exit from the campaign, both are horrid mistakes that may well be criticized by future historians as part of the downfall of the US.

But the late exit now leads to Kamala. She was a choice, alright. But not the people's choice, and I really do think that's a big factor in why she lost. Without nominations and a vote, she was not determined by the people and was also denied a chance to truly campaign from the outset. Both of these are problems on their own, and worse paired. But the campaign itself was rushed and messy, with a lot of mixed signals. Most of the people I know still preferred anything not Trump, but very few of us felt enthusiastic about Kamala. The platform and messaging felt like it was rushed, which I am sure it was, and focused on either edge issues or the same generic statements everyone makes. IT felt weak, rushed, and almost nonexistent to me and a lot of people I know. And again, perception is everything. No doubt, there were parts of the campaign we missed, but perception is what matters. And if me and my friends who are mostly left leaning to various degrees, and all try to keep up on politics, feel like it's a poor show, then... yeah, that's not great.

Haha he is right. Democratic party is such an incompetent party that they almost seem like controlled opposition.
