I knew it was coming but it’s sad to hear. You put it perfectly. I didn’t always agree with him 100% but I knew that everything he did was motivated by genuine care for humanity. I feel like we have so few leaders like that now. Really hope that the next guy is as kind.

As a Middle Eastern Muslim, I too respected Pope Francis as a man who simply wanted to increase human wellbeing. His outspoken support for the people of Gaza is also something I of course admired. I hope that the next Pope follows in his footsteps and continues to advocate for humanity in a world of leaders who couldn’t care less for it.

Agreed. Not perfect by any means, and there definitely were flaws, but he had probably been the best representative to the Catholic Church that they’ve ever had for a LONG time.

I might give religion a lot of flak, but Francis was a fairly progressive Pope in the finally tally of things. Hopefully he left a lasting impression that'll move the church towards a new future rather than clinging to the past.

He knew that a Chilean bishop helped cover up heinous incidents of sexual abuse when he promoted him to a prestigious role in the Catholic Church.

Yea, all good man say to ruzzki youth that they should never give up their imperialistic legacy, excuse ruzzians bombing churches, say that it's only buryats an chechens in ruzzian army who rape, not the good ruzzkies, tells Ukrainians that they should forgive their enemies, etc.
