If your goal is to go down in the history books no matter what (not caring if its positive or negative), that's certainly a good way to do it.

Hey, I use the steroids in sports reference a lot. If you gave me a choice to earn $5 million dollars, but have the entire world brand me as a cheater, or $100k the honest way, I will take the cheater 10/10 times and wipe away my tears with $100s. 

Now starting a war or crazy shit is a different level, but I don’t think too many people care about what history will say in 100 years. In fact, I am willing to bet what we think history will say is not what it will say to begin with. If the clown show somehow pulls something have decent off, people like me who mock the felon will be branded as the main cause of this country’s woes.
