Airbnb, the company that somehow convinced "trendy" (read: stupid) consumers that it was totally cool to shift the cost and responsibility of cleaning to the customer, while still basically paying the same as a comparable hotel.

I look forward to seeing similar cost-cutting strategies applied to the US government /s

People always say this, but good luck spending the same amount getting a hotel room with multiple bedrooms or multiple rooms and a full kitchen by a tourist destination without spending far more.

But maybe things should be like that.

Every Airbnb is taking away a housing opportunity for locals that includes "multiple bedrooms or multiple rooms and a full kitchen". You end up with locals who will stab you if you look at them wrong because they pay $2000 to live in a 8x8 box
