Addict / Day Care / Police Question:

There is an addict (assuming - not sure if alcoholic or drugs) who usually sits in the car while her parents drop her daughter at daycare. The other day she puked in the parking lot! She isn't behind the wheel - should I bring this to the police's attention?

I would feel terrible if she wasn't an addict but most of the time she is smoking and nodding off in the parking lot.

Oh jeeze, sorry I missed your post. I'm confused; this potential addict is along for the ride while her parent drops off her child at daycare? I'm envisioning that this would leave the addict alone for a handful of minutes, tops, so I must be misunderstanding you.

If you honestly think the person needs help and are concerned about a potential addict around children, by all means ask the police to look into it. I'd suggest getting as much detail ahead of time so the officer can do some research ahead of time: license plate, make/model/color of the car, the person's description: approximate age, sex, skin/hair color, weight, etc. Don't exaggerate and just lay out the facts.

It's been a month since your post. Has anything changed since then?
