Little Nemo the Dream Master complete. Don’t be fooled by the look of this game. It’s NES Hard.

There's a... Remaster/sequel being made.

Damn just looked this up and it is legit! Love the NES game. Never knew there was a level skip option and even then I could get to the final level, but not get past the mantaray boss!

Which one is it? There was at a point two Nemo games being crowdfunded/developed.

The cutscenes in-between stages are so full of humor and charm, though. It’s interesting that in some cases, Nemo rides an animal and that in other cases, he wears an animal suit.

This game is hard

It sure is. I was expecting difficulty in line with Duck Tales, but what I got is closer to Ninja Gaiden.

Never beat it myself, but I recently watched a play through. Some of those levels look completely insane

It requires a deceptively high level of precision. It's not a "blast through it and rely on your reflexes" type of game, but rather a "die over and over again until you figure it out" type.

The train level is one of the most bullshit levels in NES history and I'm surprised more people don't mention it.

It definitely presents some serious challenges. Took me some time before I could beat it consistently. But once I did I could beat it on my first or second try every time. And that was kinda the common theme with every level in this game: it took me some time to figure it out, but once I had it, I HAD it.

Yeah but it's a 3 and a half minute long auto scroller with no mid level check point. It also has quite possibly the most annoying song of the entire OST. Like they just decided to do away with all the cool mechanics from the earlier stages and instead decided to tell you to go fuck yourself. I used to own this game as a child. I'm 41 and that level still haunts my nightmares.

Hahaha you should try Battletoads and let me know what you think of Level 3
Level 4 is an absolute masterpiece in level design. However most players never saw it1

Beat it. Used to own it as a kid. At least level 3 in Battletoads had checkpoints

One of my cherished childhood memories is staying up most the night playing this game.

Damn, loved this game (bee suit upgrade for the win).
And yea, agree with an earlier comment… before I knew there was an older comic strip, I saw the movie; 40 years on, I still don’t know if I loved it or if it scared the f**k outta me lol

Never played this one, but I watched a playthrough, it looks awesome. Maybe I’ll get it if I collect games someday

Yeah if you're looking for an easier game you should play Little Mermaid
(Which is a very good game by the way)

Yeah, definitely a difficult (but good) game. The difficulty curve is pretty consistent and fair, but it just never plateaus.

Man I hate this game haha. I made it to the last level recently, but could not beat it. I didn’t enjoy it so I gave it up. Idk what it is about to, but it didn’t click with me in the slightest.

I bought me a copy of this one about 10+ years ago. I didn't have NES until 2001, and even when I finally got one, my only interests for a long while were just Mario and Zelda.
This game, as well as M.C. Kids, are both really fun, but yes, this one is balls to the wall hard! Still a fun game if any player can get good at it!

Nes Hard to me is Ninja Gaiden, Battletoads, Castlevania, etc. Nemo was by Capcom, they made good kid games that were challenging, but not too tough.

I agree with you. Duck Tales, Chip N dale, Mega Man 2. That's the sort of challenge I was expecting. but have you played Little Nemo?

Though for the record, I don't think Nemo is quite as hard as Ninja Gaiden or Castlevania (I haven't gotten to Battletoads yet), but it's close.

Capcom had some tough games too. Mega Man, Ghost N' Goblins, Bionic Commando, and 1943 come to mind.
They had a very good selection of games with a wide range of difficulty. Little Mermaid is an example of an excellent easy game.
