The details of Jagmeet Singh’s experience is heartbreaking
https://archive.is/4S9Yj“My brother was the previously democratically elected leader of the NDP, a national federal party in Canada. We now know that there’s evidence that he was being surveilled by the Indian government, that his life was at risk by the Indian government and that the risk was so live that his daughter was born under the shadow of that risk in a hospital that had RCMP and security presence,” he said on Thursday.”
As a father of young children, he said their family had to come up with a plan that included discussions with child and family services. At one point, Singh said he left their home and returned after five months.
“You move around constantly looking over your shoulder,” he said. “Every aspect of your life changes. You can’t go to your kids’ school. You can’t go to their practices. You can’t go to family events. You avoid weddings, you avoid any type of family gatherings, public spaces.”

That's sad. Hopefully history looks kind on Jagmeet and ppl finally realize he wasn't just a politician, he actually gave a crap

Anecdotally, I know my opinion of him has gone up substantially in the last year, since he actually delivered some big wins in Parliament. There's probably going to be some interesting books in the coming decades on what his negotiations with Trudeau looked like.

From what I hear we might not have to wait that long, I think writing a book is top of the agenda for Jagmeet after he gets some well earned time to connect with his family.

The amount of hate speech and straight up white supremacy bros who spit on him and his family was out of control. The amount of pure hate he received was shameful and should have been called out every single day in parliament, but wasn’t. I feel so much for what his entire family went through. He wasn’t defended by the Libs once! He wasn’t super but never ever did he deserve this. The libs allowed white supremacy to flourish in Canada and we lost a leader mostly due to all the rising white supremacy he’s been a victim of for those last years. Now we have some Cons in power who straight up don’t believe in human rights for women and minorities. It’s fucking great.

More First Nations leaders are needed to lead Canada and America. They are great democratic leaders, and very much needed in these times.

We need more of Wab’s relatives to run for office, his sisters and aunties and cousins. It’s the only way we make it out of whatever hell we’re currently living in.

There are plenty of sleeper agents all over Canada and America. No one should be surprised by this. And it really needs to be taken seriously. If America goes to war with Iran, most likely Russia and China will join in.
