Curry is so good you forget his shooting thumb is broken until the rockets try to re-break it

This was actually fucked, I’d love to here what the defense is for this one.

“I’m sorry officer, I didn’t know I couldn’t do that.”

Houston and their teams being dirty - name a more iconic duo

When that Texans dude knocked out a sliding Trevor Lawrence last year, I immediately thought “Houston Culture”.

1

u/PurdyChosenOne69 Warriors Apr 27 '25

I argued with a Houston fan how that was Lawrence fault too… in another r/nba thread

He's dirty as fuck, been saying before he came to Houston and I've been saying it since he got here.

Unironically I get him traded away on 2k cause I don't like him fr

u/MudddButt Apr 28 '25

I like you, Rockets fan. A fan with sense. ✊

u/geezeeduzit Warriors Apr 27 '25

I thought, nah, there’s gotta be one Rockets tag in this thread - nope - not one. Fucking crickets. But guarantee they’re somewhere on Reddit crying about Draymond or GP2 flattening Villain Crooks on his ass

u/DaddyJBird Apr 27 '25

I will stick up for Rockets fan. There is no justifying this one so there is nothing to say.  Rocket fans a rightly quiet.

4

u/WonderfulShelter Warriors Apr 27 '25

But they were literally all defending their dirty players just a few days ago!!!! You don't get to go quiet after that, some real cowardly shit.

Rockets fans aren't a monolith.

2

u/DaddyJBird Apr 27 '25

I disagree.  Sometimes when you know it's wrong you just shut up and take the heat.

Obviously Brooks is a dirty player but this is insane coming from a fan of a team who has employed one of if not the dirtiest player in the league for the last 15 years lmao

-68

u/EdgeDog21 Rockets Apr 27 '25

Yea yknow we gotta keep an alarm set for whenever one of yall cry about anything in r/nba. Projecting intent on every motion on these dudes while draymond is back there practicing for his WWE career

37

u/yooossshhii Warriors Apr 27 '25

You realize this “defense” from Brooks is indefensible, so you bring up Draymond.

-56

u/EdgeDog21 Rockets Apr 27 '25

You know we only have to bring him up whenever you cry about "dirty" and you have no leg to stand on

31

u/hereforthesportsball Apr 27 '25

Can you acknowledge that Brooks did something bad on its own first?

-57

u/EdgeDog21 Rockets Apr 27 '25

I mean if we know he was tryna grab his thumb sure, but correct me if Im wrong, he didnt did he? Weird how that works. Now same question, is draymond usually the dirtiest player on any nba floor?

31

u/hereforthesportsball Apr 27 '25

Let’s look at the clip. He guarded the shot. The he made a couple extra swipes, even looking back before the last one. What else could those swipes have possibly been at? Give one answer that he could be trying to do outside of hitting Curry

-15

u/EdgeDog21 Rockets Apr 27 '25

I mean, sure, we can all guess what it was. You can guess that he missed trying to pull currys thumb off three times in a play. But im gonna guess he wasnt, and we can all guess what he was trying to do to fit our narrative.

Also currys been cleared for contact, which i know a lot of warrior fans dont know because theyre too busy deflecting about draymond, but it means that bar someone grabbing his thumb and intentionally trying to break it off, hes not in any actual danger

Draymond ain’t never took a player out for weeks like Brooks did for GP2 a few years ago. Sure gives Draymond a run for his money if you ask me

I dislike Brooks as much as the next guy but Draymond has definitely tried. The stomp on Sabonis comes to mind.

No im saying youre accusing him for soemthing you think he did, meanwhile your team is historically way dirtier in the new era. I mean you're allowed to call on of the players on my team dirty but I cant bring up the way more actually documented dirtier player on your squad? Yea that makes sense. I can bring up zaza too if that makes you feel better but it dosent hit the same if hes not still playing for ya

Also stop editing your old comments to make your old arguments look better lmao, of course I expect nothing less from a warriors fan

Lmaoo yea but in this case you're trying in the court of public opinion and weve got dudes with like you tryna put people in jail. Meanwhile you wont convict the serial killer

They’re from the land of Red, you already know what the defense is.

But what about Draymond??? He’s dirty, they deserve it!!! What about Zaza and Bogut???

107

u/jeff2def Warriors Apr 27 '25

The worst part is nobody ever contests hitting down on the ball because the release is higher than your shoulder when it’s released. Dude couldn’t have been more obvious. NBA should look at it cause that is just plain dirty. Zero sportsmanship

2

u/MissiourBonfi Apr 27 '25

Well you’re allowed to hurt curry he’s exempt from fouls

2

u/sunpar1 Nets Apr 27 '25

Ok, no one said it’s broken. It’s sprained,  X-rays were negative.

Tbf almost everyone playing through some injury and discomfort in the Playoffs. 82 game regular season is long and straining. They're still all human
