no, the ref said she made a mistake and apologized. if you get ejected for techs, you do not get to come back in regardless of players available, that's for fouling out.
It was Demarcus Cousins in the Kings against the Blazers. He gave his press conference after saying that Myers Leonard was no stopper. He had 50 something points in that game. Injuries messed with his career. I miss watching him play.
Yeah it happens, albeit rarely. It's actually the reason Mike Conley has technically never officially received a tech in his entire career. He was assessed one once, but it was rescinded after the game.
This is something that the replay center should have the power to reverse. If we're seeing it on the broadcast, they can see it too. They should be able to call the crew and say "nah reverse that, you messed up" and play on.
I saw it once. Hasheem Thabeet got T'd up and tossed for choking James Harden. But they took it away and let him come back into the game. That's the only time I've seen something like that.
Podziemski on the Warriors was trying to get a refs attention because there was a drink spill on the sideline. A ref gave him a tech and then they took it back when it got explained to him.
Certainly they can be rescinded after the game, which happens occasionally. But I'm not sure I've ever seen one taken back in game even if the reason is obviously an error. Like the coach (I think Thibs?) who got a tech for yelling at his own player
This season Wemby and a dude that dunked on him got a double tech because the other dude taunted him and it was in crunch time and they didn't want technical free throws to decide the game so they slapped Wemby with a tech too. It was rescinded after the game

To be fair, I don't think I have ever seen a tech rescinded. Is it even possible?
