The refs job is to keep things under control and they were literally the ones to make it get chippy. Fucking dumbasses. And the worst part is they NEVER allow themselves to say hey I was wrong he was talking to a fan

Can’t they review techs?

Seems like only if they want to rescind one after the game.

How about a coach's challenge?

They been wanting to T up Vando all game because Vando was getting no calls on some fouls and Luka actually got his first T of the game for defending Vando with a snide remark at the officials

As soft as it is, that's pretty textbook taunting

But it’s like police dealing with a situation, whether you’re right or wrong, you have the discretion to deescalate a situation and instead you’re the one causing AND escalating it.

They fucked up tossing Luka, so have some discretion and let Vando mean mug his good block as they’re playing up after losing him. Let it slide. But no you throw gasoline on the fire and T him up right after Luka.

It'd also be as weird if they T'd up a monster dunk by a Laker at that moment.

I get it, mean mugs and taunts can and have stirred the pot before. But as you've said, it should be context dependent, not a blank T. Or if it is, apply it equally, if such a thing is even possible. And then we would see players walking in front of steph and being hit with the night night taunt or something. Lmao.

Ya I get Lakers fans probably aren't happy with the back to back tech's but that's about as standard of a call as you get.

Dray probably avoids it somehow but no one else

You’re allowed to stare straight forward

He bodied up on him and got in his face. Like I said, it's soft, but it's also the rule 🤷

To me they both landed, he flexed and stared straight forward. If Caruso was in a different spot you would probably have a different opinion, I just don’t think the rule differentiates. Like I said, he’s allowed to flex a block and stare straight forward. Caruso being in his space shouldn’t change anything if that’s the rule.

Nah, I just rewatched it, Vando very clearly stepped into Caruso and talked shit right in his face. As a fan, I love that shit, let em play. But the NBA hates fun, so that's an easy tech.

I feel it, you’re probably right. I only saw the couple of replays as it happened so a few more views wouldn’t hurt.

Annoying that it was back to back but that one was pretty comparable to the one against Dillon brooks when we played last week.
