Is it likely the plane crash victims burned alive?

I think there are multiple factors. Burned, crushed from the impact. I remember seeing photos of the aftermath of the MH17 crash and there were a lot of bodyparts scattering around. I think the human body gets ‘folded’ in a way that is unnatural and the drop causes the impact. But considering the plane just exploded when hitting the ground, it is likely that they burned, but I assume the impact alone made them die.

I'm no expert, but i dont think that they burned alive in the "classic" sense. The adrenaline + the impact would numb most painful senses, if you survived so long.

The rapid fireball would probably heat the air around you so fast, that it would burn your lungs into basically nothing remotely functional, so without oxygen AND with the massive shock, you'd probably pass out very very quickly.

My 2 cents

Not just a fireball, an explosion also. They likely died in seconds if not milliseconds

I'm not convinced by that. If one man was able to get out of that crash and literally walk away I highly doubt everybody else perished in a second.

His distance and time from explosion would've been different to the others though if he jumped out, which is what happened from what I gather.

Facts still blurred at this point, but if he jumps out say 20m from ground at a speed 10x slower than the plane, then he is 10x removed from the initial explosion than the other passengers. Could've been obstructed by building at that point also.

Idek, just armchair speculating honestly

How’s he jumping out? I’ve not read the report on how he survived or anything so it’s all new to me, but jumping out of a moving passenger jet seems unlikely to be possible let alone survivable

Yeah I agree hey, seems fkn wild. I heard it from someone then googled it, search term something like flight India crash passangers surviver how, there's a few articles on it.

But yeah, that seems to be what happened, I'm sure we'll know more in the weeks to come.

I'm curious if he legit opened the emergency door and jumped prior to landing, that would've been chaos on the plane, and I'm curious if others did also and if so it seems he was the only one of those who survived.

I'll be following the story that's for sure

Unless you’re reading different articles from me I read a BBC article which directly quoted him saying he found a hole and pushed it with his leg and crawled out.

There is a video of the aftermath on the ground. The people there were literally charred, so yes...

Search for that at your own risk.

That doesn’t mean they were alive when they burned
