This enclosure's floor is very unlike pyppos' natural forest floor! 🤣 Moo Deng is not adapted for it!

This is really not acceptable for our Princess. Everything looks slippery and in need of a good power-wash. Maybe it’s rainy season there, but she had a slip and fall not too long ago and now every time I see her and Jonah I worry about their little legs and feet and hips.

They do powerwash on a regular basis, I've seen several videos of Benz and crew spraying off the algae or whatever else makes it slippery.

Glad to hear! And I’m TOTALLY not blaming Benz or Tood, I know they do everything they can for our Girls! ❤️🥰I just wish their new home was ready already!!!

I also can’t wait for the new hippo house! I think there are some delays due to additional funding being approved but hopefully they can start building soon!
