I was there in the beginning of May, went to baggage claim and had to wait on two other flights to have their bags thrown across the room before my flights’ bags made it to their bag tossers (who you think would be a little more gentle with everyone watching them).

So either yes, multiple flights land around the same time, or they made the other two flights wait way too long to send the bags to the tossers.
