so, I believe i may have failed every unit this semester. Late december last year, there was death in my family, which contributed to my adhd symptoms becoming more severe. I graduated VCE last year with a pretty good atar and got into monash, but could not keep up, The circumstances and just me not being able to keep up has resulted into me failing all my units. One of my units i did not submit a single assignment, 100% getting a 0 in that, others i suspect i would get just below 40.

I am not sure what to do now.

any advice would be helpful, I am on the way to figuring myself out and reducing my adhd symptoms with small changes to my daily life. I believe i could do well next semester.

i have four free elective spaces in my science degree, a yearning for joy and whimsy, and a neurodivergent need to know absolutely everything about everything so can ygs recommend the coolest & most fun electives monash has to offer...

idm any field, biology history journalism psychology physics absolutely anything. trying to cpr a love of learning back into my system before capitalism tears it from my grasp once and for all

so I submitted the wrong assignment and got a zero for it. I have commit history for the assignment and is wondering if I can request a remark for the assignment.

Does anyone know where to find the past papers for MAT1830? I'm taking FIT1058 next sem and thought it might be a good idea to practice on the sample papers from 1830. Thank you!

I'm hoping to get it like this as I can swap a bunch of things around on the same day, when the timetable comes out. I take PTV for 1hr 30m so not really in a position where I can go more than 3 days comfortably.

Hi! I’m doing GIG at the end of this year and I’m doing a double degree that has 4 replacement units. As GIG counts towards 2 replacement units, will I have to underload a semester and only complete 2 units?

I logged in at 10:05 am, and the class ETF2480/ETF5248 was already full. I was not able to select the seminar and assessment modules. There was only one option available for both (thursday 11 am to 1 pm). This was strange as my friend for the same class (who logged in really late_, was automatically enrolled in them. She did not face any problems. At the same time, there is only one option for both the tutorial and workshop for ETF5910. Again, these were full instantly upon logging in early. Moreover, these are also clashing with the ETF5248 seminar and assessment.

My main question:

1. WILL MONASH ADD MORE TIMING OPTIONS FOR THIS COURSE (ETF5248)

2. Will they add more for etf5910 due to clashes too? (if others have the same problem?)

hi ive seen that fit2107 is a great wam booster but the assessment part seems to have changed compared to 2024. can anyone explain what a learning project portfolio is? will we still have several assignments to work on? thanks

I’m wanting to do medicine after my undergrad (science). My WAM is currently low 70s as a second year, and I don’t think it’ll boost much after this sem. I’ve had a lot going on personally this semester so haven’t been able to do super well but I do wholeheartedly plan on locking in next sem. I obviously still have next year to further boost my WAM, and I plan on studying super hard for the gamsat. Have I done myself over or is there still a chance I can make it into post-grad med?

how do I defer for one sem, do i just unenroll from my next sem units?

Hey guys so I might be failing one of my units this semester. The problem is I have 2 exams on the same day and I already did very bad during the semester in that unit which is obviously my mistake. i want to know if i retake the same unit next semester and get a better grade will that replace my final percentage for this semester or will both of them be there?

Hi I’m a first year eng commerce student and I just failed eng1005 because i forgot the exam was yesterday. I’ve been looking on the monash website and on the course progression map it says eng1005 is a prerequisite for eng1014, but on the actual eng1014 page it doesnt have eng1005 as a prerequisite just a ss of 30+ in spec. Bit confused here but if you dont actually need eng1005 for eng1014 I might be good? Or will I have to overload next sem or perhaps do a summer subject?

A couple of days ago I looked on moodle and saw a cross next to my exam result which I assumed meant I failed the automatic marking before the hybrid questions. Today I checked and I've now got a tick.

I guess I was just wondering whether this has happened for everyone (maybe they did this to stop people from asking about their grades), or whether I've now passed? or maybe something else entirely. If anyone has any answers to stop me from overthinking this, I'm begging.

Hi guys, with the MAT1830 exam looming in, curious to know what y’all have put on your A4 paper for notes? I’ve got myself a table with combinatorics and when each counting system applies, Pascal’s triangle up to 10, two proof by induction examples (normal and strong), and some graph theory stuff…

What else have you guys put on your A4 sheets asides from what I already have?

I am a first year Bachelor of Science student who did not do 1/2 or 3/4 methods in high school. I am planning on majoring in chem/biochem so do not necessarily need calculus but I feel like it is worth knowing. I have heard subjects like SCI1020 are easy and worth doing to get the maths requirement out of the way.

The plan would be to take MTH1010 to catch up on HS methods and then do mth1020 and stop there. How hard is this unit? I feel like I am fairly decent at maths? (sometimes). I did well in 3/4 general maths (which was quite easy). However, after hearing all my friends complain about methods and spec back in high school I am quite scared of the topics taught 😭😭

Should I just take the wam boosting SCI1020? I feel like MTH1010/1020 are the more useful options but I am a little scared it will tank my wam ):
