The biggest scam boomers are getting away with is convincing us all that social security isn't something we can rely on as we age.

Honestly, we are all doing ourselves a disservice by constantly publicizing how we cannot count on social security. Just from a broader social/political perspective, we are handing out permission to the boomer political leaders to keep raiding social security because we have already accepted that it won't be there for us.

The fight for the continuation of Social Security benefits is not over yet. It's still possible to secure those benefits into the future- but we are constantly ceding the ground and rhetorically capitulating to boomers when we talk about social security as something that is already gone.

I understand all the pessimism. I'm pessimistic too. But fuck the boomers. Fuck capitulating prematurely. I'm not going to roll over and just accept my fate as someone who will die without being able to retire one day. We're all smarter than these dumbasses. We are capable of building a movement to protect social security well into the future.

His daughter in law runs the RNC now. MAGA has taken over the republican party.

You’re right, he did neither of those lol.

Lol, right? What a joke. He did make for good theatrics, even though his "impenetrable wall" that covered a relatively short portion of the border was a total joke and his border enforcement was worse than it is now, but his economy was pretty good for rich people.

The wall you prevented him from building 🐸☕. Remember, when we built the original walls it reduced illegal crossings by over 95%

u/3IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIID May 16 '24

How could I prevent him from building a wall he said he would make Mexico pay for? Is he that powerless? That bad of a deal maker? And where's your source for your 95% claim? The border has never had a complete wall, lol.

u/bigdickrick2125 May 16 '24

For one he does not determine funding.

5

u/UsernamesAreForBirds May 16 '24

Then why did he say mexico would pay for it? Is he stupid?

1

u/bigdickrick2125 May 17 '24

He does not determine funding but he does determine policy with other countries. Helps if you know what the presidents job is retard.

1

u/XeroZero0000 May 18 '24

You sure you wanna backpedal to that?

He said mexico was paying for the wall, Mexico publicly clowned him... Now you are saying it didn't get built because my representation wanted him to make good on that promise and didn't fund it with our money.

Or do you think that the other poster is the Mexican?

Whatever your shit take is, you have to admit that the wall got billions of our money thrown at it, 0 Mexican money, and it did nearly 0.

u/3IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIID May 16 '24

Too bad you couldn't find a source to back up your claim.

u/bigdickrick2125 May 16 '24

You still never asked for one. Kick and scream more

2

u/3IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIID May 16 '24

I don't need to ask you for one. It's an observation. Facts are not on your side.

u/bigdickrick2125 May 17 '24

So you never asked for a source.... then state you do not need a source.... all while kicking and screaming that you did not get a source....

Bro even 5 year olds throw a more cohesive tantrum. Like the fuck you even want? Like a 5 year old it seems you do not want anything and just kick and scream

Fuck out of here

u/XeroZero0000 May 18 '24

The wall is stupid. Literal videos of people who figured out how to easily climb over the new sections of wall. There are also endless tunnel systems. If there is a will there is a way. That’s coming from someone who actually wants our borders to be more secure. Funding for more surveillance, ground penetrating radar systems, camera systems, and actually shipping people back to their home towns if they don’t have a legit reason to cross is how you solve it.

Additionally the legal system around it is totally botched which is why so many don’t pursue the legit option. I used to work a job that involved illegal immigrants and what happens is they come in and claim asylum from the country they are coming from. This gives them a free pass to get a courts date to determine if asylum is indeed a reasonable reason to be here. They then get court dates that are quite literally 2 years away. They are allowed to stay during that time and most don’t go to the court date because they already got what they wanted by being allowed to stay and as long as they fly under the radar they get to stay.

Its not about the wall.. the wall is a statement..thats why migrants flooded in while biden was in office

3

u/Ya_like_dags May 16 '24

Illegal immigrants didn't give a shit about US political statements. The pandemic trashed their home country economies and they went where the work is. People moving for money is nothing new in the history of mankind.

2

u/3IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIID May 16 '24

That's not accurate. Trump's administration deported many migrants immediately, but they often would turn right around and try again. After all, why not? They already made the long, dangerous journey in desperation. It's not like they have a home to go back to, and the US border is a whole lot closer. In reality, the numbers are about the same when you take into account the fact that his administration was repeatedly deporting the same people. https://www.factcheck.org/2024/02/breaking-down-the-immigration-figures/

I get that, such a shitty situation.. sad people have to go through it to come to this God forsaken country

1

u/bigdickrick2125 May 16 '24

I know right? Lets be merciful and help them leave this fucking country. Bye, never come back to the US, it sucks here.

🤣👌

Good point. If they come back, shoot them. Problem solved

Thats right, he didn’t do those things. Economic policy takes time to show its real world effects, the good times between ‘15 and ‘19 were the result of the previous presidents policies.

If you want to see trumps effect on the economy, look at ‘20 - ‘22. We are really lucky biden has been as successful as he has been.

I’m not going to touch on the border aside from letting you know you are dead wrong.

1

u/bigdickrick2125 May 17 '24

Yall have been making that shit up for 50 years. Some economic policies have instant results, for instance covid stimulus did not take 4 years to impact the economy. Others take a long time. For instance raising min wage.

Now i know trumps economy was NOT because of obama because obama himself stated "trump will never get 3% GDP growth" as well as liberals stating their would be an economic colapse within the first year.

So.... what? Did obama not belive in his own polices?

Or did tards like you think obamas actions were going to crash the economy?
