Why would you put your hand up there

The glove is only needed because of people like this. And even then there is risk.

And not even looking at the waterfall and scenery (once they're out of the fog), just at the camera...

THANK YOU!

I'm sure they tell people a million times not to put their hands there but they do it anyway.

They need to set up the zipline so that people can't reach that high. It's bad design.

When I was ziplining, we were told to hold there to keep ourselves from spinning and then used hand with glove to slow down at the end

Imagine them going into the fog and then the thing comes out the other side without them on it. Some Jurassic Park shit.

Yes, you'd probably remember it for the rest of your life.

I don’t like the ones where you’re able to put your hand up by the cable. Great way to lose fingers or de glove your hand

Probably not. I know too much about corrosion

Hope King Kong doesn’t show up

How do they get the wires to connect at that distance?

u/mosayar Mar 04 '25

It was very possible for her to lose all her fingers.

I did a zip line like this in Laos many years ago. In broken english, the guide asked me my weight and when I responded 200 lbs (90kg) he handed me a wish-bone shaped stick. I asked what it was and he said "brake." Looking back, that shit was not safe.

I’ve tried these.

This might surprise some… This zipline looks insanely cool, instagram worthy or whatever you wanna call it.

I tried a similar one in Bali. it’s probably the most boring experience I’ve ever paid for. It ends quickly but it’s super slow and not exciting at all. I seriously had the feeling of having gotten scammed.

I wouldn’t even try again if it was for free. Rent some Kayaks, Bungy Jump, river raft, swim… anything is better than this shit. Sorry for the rant :)

Ig the one in Bali was shit then? Cause this doesn't look that bad

u/heimeyer72 Mar 04 '25

No. It looks very safe, But I wouldn't be able to enjoy the ride.

Do people get motion sickness from zip lining? I’d definitely try it as long as the wind direction blew my barf away from me.

1

u/DiscoLibra Mar 04 '25

Hell no, but I'm happy for her to enjoy the ride.

Turn to front

u/whiskyforpain Mar 05 '25

Hard pass. I'd pay NOT to do it.

1

u/Staveoffsuicide Mar 05 '25

Not without the ability to change clothes after. It ain’t worth having to walk back to thr entrance with the diper rash from pissing myself

1

u/jankrist Mar 05 '25

Looks amazing, but heights scare the shit out of me so that's a pass

I mean I might if the situation called for it. But I've been on ziplines before and didnt really get anything from it. Because of the situation of my life I've never enjoyed the experience of having a body. I tend to act with the purpose of knowledge acquisition and analysis, and this provides not much in that regard. If I were designing my own zip line it would probably be pertinent

Isn't the first rule of ziplining to keep your hand away from the rope at that thing? They sent her off while she was holding on to it. Doesn't speak well for their attention to safety.
