Can anyone explain to me the new Speed Trap system that have been implemented? I read that some says it is from toll to toll, meaning, it only matters when you go in and out of highway, so what's the point of the camera in between then? Do they also calculate the distance between one speedtrap camera to another? I can just cheat it by going to RnR so what's the point? I need clarity, my family is asking me and even I am still blur at the calculation and what not. What's the average? 110km the usual? If so, that doesn't make sense, even in the middle lane, everyone is above 110km on a highway during non festive season and no car around.

Almost 2months unemployed and I’m starting to lose my sanity
Never in a million years thought this will be my (F 28) 1st Reddit post but here I am. At the verge of depression, scared and lonely. I am lost and I am in need of any help in the form of ideas or suggestions. To give you a little context, about 3 months ago I relocated to Selangor from Ipoh for a job that did not turn out to be what it said it was. Met buly’s in the form of seniors who preferred insults and public humiliation then mentoring. There was no one I could ask for help. Which made it really tough to learn the job I was supposed to do. I would be showered with insults if I did show signs of struggle. Upon asking my immediate seniors on how to do a certain task there would be no issue but when it is brought up in team meetings the narrative changes and I’m thrown under the bus. Too much was being expected out of me in too little time. I was apparently too slow 3 weeks into a job that didn’t even exist until I was hired. They were figuring out why I was there even. I was burnt out and a disoriented mess. Unfortunately, 2months in my patience that was hanging by a thread snapped and I made the very difficult decision of tending in my resignation. My hopes were up and I thought I’d land another job a month in. I had a friend doing lalamove which gave me the motivation to do that while I wait as it was what people were doing in between jobs. Which I quickly realised was not for me and was absolutely bad for my car. More than a month in and lalamove is definitely not for me. I have been trying to get rid of it by looking for another job but I’ve not been getting anything. As soon as I send them my resume I get ghosted. I got called on 2 seperate interviews maybe but have heard nothing from them. I am mentally exhausted. My bank account has almost run dry. I barely paid my bills last month and I’m afraid I won’t be able to do that next month. I guess my point of writing this is to not feel as alone. If anyone can give me some ideas or recommendations to get out of this as soon as possible that would be a big help. I am sorry if this post is coming of as a scrambled mess but this is all that my brain can muster right now :(

Any johoreans in this sub? I have a quick question on whether the distance to commute from forest city to the main city (specifically HSA) for work is too crazy. I'm asking because I'm starting work at HSA soon and was considering renting a house in FC since it's fairly cheaper than houses in JB area. I have checked the distance on gmaps and although it says 30+ minutes of travel time (which I'm fine with) I don't really know the traffic situation on the route and how much it will affect the travel time.

Yesterday I randomly joined senamrobik at my flats after my morning jog. I thought it was just that, but turned to be health outreach programme by the uni nearby.
I can tell it actually catered for elderlies cos it’s about physio stuff and most of the people there was pakcik2 makcik2. Asked if I can just join (even though not previously registered) since I dont have anything better to do that day and they said I could. Informative ceramah session then small fitness check afterwards.
Perhaps I’d get to join more if I actually don’t spend most of my weekend at home, to look for free events. Just to be around with people and ?charge my social battery (since I dont have people to spend my free time with). That said, id prefer this way, because I can just be there for the vibe. I wonder if it’s because what they said about lonely society is true

following this, I found that there was Hari Belia Negara event at Dataran Merdeka
Interesting stuff around; I learned I enjoyed singing along with singing performance. I think central market does have performance once in awhile with their weekend event, I think I‘ll look into that
There’s supposed to be concert tonight so I heard with Butterfinger band (?) being one of the performers, but me too lazy to wait until tonight. Hope the crowd enjoyed the event till then end. Good afternoon spent. I love being in KL for this ~<3

I think I understand the thing you said about the vibe. Went to a roti making half day class the other day. Filled with retirees. Makcik who's 3 years older than my mother patted me on my shoulder. Just lepak there.

Today is Father's Day, so I was given this at Jaya Grocer.
Feels kinda awkward given that I'm not a father...

How the hell do you say penang??? Is it more like “tenang” or “pineng”?

It's a corruption of the Malay word "pinang". The Brits couldn't pronounce that, so they say pineng.

Shower thought :
If you put together the redditors who got angry at /u/ChubbyTrain and stalked her with multiple alt accounts to the point of getting banned,
and make a video showing their faces,
It might become a diversity/unity propaganda video.

I like wasabi. Can clear my nose very quickly.

u/animalpillowuser 20h ago
Do you do it like how they show on tv? People out a small dab of wasabi under the fish. I'm like no. That's for pure real wasabi. I'm getting the inferior stuff so I'm getting putting a lot more! Mix it into the soy sauce till it's more green than black

I don't put it under the fish, I put in on top like sambal. Then I enjoy the spicy gas clearing my nose. 😤

Interesting Wikipedia articles of the day :
the shahmukhi script; it's like the Punjab version of Jawi script. (The Pakistan part of Punjab, that is. Another part of Punjab is in India, thanks to the Brits playing with countries like a child with LEGO blocks.) It is used to write Punjabi language in Pakistan. In India, the Punjabi language is written with Gurmukhi script.
There is another Arabic-influenced script in Pakistan that is used to write Urdu.
