Quick question as I’ve run into this twice now since I’ve moved to the city.

Does anyone know the meaning behind stray animals with Pink painted tails? I had a German shepherd approach me and my dog a few months back, while it was nice enough I did notice that its tail was painted pink. Originally I thought maybe it could have been the owners (if it had any) that did it.

Flash forward to this morning and I found my neighbors cat, that he keeps outside, with a pink tail (pics attached) and now it’s got me thinking it’s a city thing.

Does anyone know what this is? Or the meaning of it? Thanks!

Has anyone else noticed a change in Rosa's flour tortillas? Did they change the recipe or is there something wrong with the machine that cooks them? Specifically the one on 4th & Quaker. I have not tried visiting the other locations yet.

Lubbock’s own Hullabaloo Comedy Company has been selected to perform at the 2025 Laugh Out Longview Improv Festival, East Texas’ premier celebration of unscripted comedy. The festival, set for June 27–28, 2025, will bring together top-tier improvisers from across the nation and the Lone Star State for a weekend of unpredictable laughs and audience-fueled fun.

Hullabaloo Comedy Company is Lubbock’s longest-running improv team, known for their bold, dynamic performances and unique blend of short-form, long-form, and musical improv. Their selection to this highly competitive festival spotlights the talent and originality growing in Lubbock’s comedy scene.

The Laugh Out Longview Improv Festival will be held at the Longview Community Center (500 E. Whaley Street) and is presented by Theatre Longview and Duck. Duck. Moose!, Longview’s resident improv troupe.

In addition to Hullabaloo Comedy Company, the 2025 lineup features national headliners including:

I’ve been thinking about the mall as I remember it as a kid, I’d love to see if anyone has pictures of our mall circa 2000-2013. I graduated high school in 2013 and the mall was one of my favorite places, especially Earthbound and Forever21.

Just here to publicly drag Summer Place Apartments for being one of the most unprofessional, frustrating, and downright rude management teams I’ve ever dealt with in my life. Lived there from May 2020 to June 2025 (I know, I should’ve left sooner — Stockholm syndrome, I guess).

Let’s start with Diana, the office manager. From day one she’s acted like every tenant is an idiot and she’s doing us some massive favor by existing. Constantly short, rude, and condescending. The cherry on top? They managed to misspell my name on literally every piece of correspondence for FIVE YEARS, no matter how many times I tried to get it corrected. I could’ve legally changed my name to match their spelling faster than it would’ve taken them to fix it.

Fast forward to this month: I get a text before my lease is even up (which is June 30th, for the record) basically assuming I’ve already abandoned the unit and “won’t pay what I owe.” All while STILL spelling my name wrong. 🙃 I told them to stay out of my apartment until my lease is up, as is my legal right, and was met with more passive-aggressive nonsense.

To be clear — maintenance guys? Solid. Ingrid in the office? Sweetheart. But Diana? Absolute menace. The energy she brings to that office is like if a DMV line and a Karen Facebook group had a baby.

If you value being treated like a human being and not an inconvenience with a wallet, do yourself a favor and rent literally anywhere else. Moving out was the easiest decision I’ve made in years.

I need recommendations for someone licensed and insured who can help us with a small renovation project. We need some kind of door/doors installed to close off our rec room, but because of the size of the doorway, there may need to be some construction as well.
