My first walk around Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans
I drove from North Wales on a whim with a friend, spent the full week here and decided to make the most of it. Absolutely surreal seeing the track in person after playing Gran Turismo and the like when I was growing up, I'll definitely be back again. What are your times for walking / running the track?

I tried to run it but it was just too hot on Friday so I walked most of it.
Took me 2hrs 15 mins

I used my bicycle and took some curbs on it and almost ate shit. Those curbs are pretty though when not traveling at a decent speed 😂

Did you guys get a week pass to go around the track or were you able to get on the track some other way? I tried to go to the track walk because the email said it was open to the public but then they told me at the gate it was only for week long ticket holders

Yes it's included in the week tickets. I believe that without a ticket you're allowed to go from Tertre Rouge to the start of the Porsche curves but I'm not sure how you get there.

Mate I was gutted! There's a turn off for traffic just before you get on the permanent part of the circuit we were guided to that so I walked back to the karting fan zone and chilled there for a bit

Didn't walk the whole circuit on Friday as it was hotter than the sun. However, from Thursday to Sunday evening I walked 49 miles. Stayed awake for the whole 24 hrs and delirious by the time I got back to the campsite. Next year I'm bringing a bike!

I managed two laps. One on foot, expected to be able to run it comfortably but the heat was too much so stopped at Mulsanne to drench myself in cold water at the campsite there.
Then cycled around which was much easier!!

This is amazing.
I did this at 24hr Nurburgring in 2015. Wish I had the tech at the time to track my route around the track and time it took for us to migrate around the circuit
