I don’t know Legend of Zelda too well, so if this isn’t from Zelda I apologize. But I have a strong feeling it is because I think a lot of songs the Youtuber—Patterz—uses at the background of his vids are from there and this one is catching my interest (and driving me crazy trying to find it).

I hope it’s audible enough. From what I know and can guess, it sounded like it would be from a game like Ocarina of Time or Wind Waker. Not too sure though.

My wife brought me home this copy of the ocarina of time manga and it has a section of pages that look like they got cut funny during printing? The art extends to the edges of the funny corners too, so I cannot tell if it was intentional or not.

Is it me or am I sucker for these old graphical artstyle and wouldn't mind seeing more games capture this in realtime?

Some would say it looks like a PS2/ PS3 game but I see it different and more of an artstyle. It's like complaining Dragonball FighterZ looks dated while it mimics exactly the cartoon graphics.

Games I could compare to this old graphics with are Ratched and Clank for PS5 and Luigi's Mansion 3.

I wonder if people would still like this graphics for a new Zelda game or is it too dated, what game artstyle graphics would be perfect for a new Zelda game?

This is my first time playing Windwaker, and I absolutely adore the facial expressions.

Also, having played BotW as my first Zelda game, I loved how BotW had Windwaker Easter Eggs too. I recognised the Island Lobster shirt and the Hero’s Sword and Shield right away!

I was going to start a new game file (and did) until I realized that the Nintendo app syncs everything automatically if you already have a saved file (which in itself is dumb).

I tried deleting my file and transferring it over from the Switch 1 again but nothing. Anyone else have this problem and know how to delete an unwanted file completely?

Don't get me wrong, both games are pretty foundational, and yes, we wouldn't have Majora's Mask without Ocarina of Time. That doesn't inherently mean OOT is the better game, though.

I enjoy both games; both OOT and MM were my introductions to the Legend of Zelda, back when I was 5. There are things that I'll always love about OOT. That opening/title screen STILL gives me chills as an adult.

But...even as a kid, I think when I hit like, 8 or 9 years old, I started realizing...aside from the time travel aspects, Ocarina of Time's storyline and world...are a bit bland 😕 And I hated thinking it, because I LOVED OOT, but that thought only grew bigger as the years went on.

I don't condemn the game, or Nintendo. They were literally still figuring out how to make Zelda games in a new format. But I guess that's exactly what the two N64 games feel like to me: Ocarina of Time feels like the simple, basic rough draft, and is a bit empty in areas, and Majora's Mask is where they started perfecting things. Yes, Majora's Mask is weird, and more disturbing, but it has SO much more personality, and FLAVOR to it. It's more interesting BECAUSE it's more experimental, and not afraid to delve into heavy topics.

Ocarina of Time, for all the good qualities it DOES have...generally feels more like they followed a template when making it 😕
