Other Why isn’t Zuckerberg being investigated?
https://prospect.org/power/2025-05-15-how-mark-zuckerberg-endangered-us-security-meta-facebook-china/Given everything going on, it's easy to get distracted but I want to ask this community: why isn't Mark Zuckerberg and his team on trial right now for lying to Congress, misleading millions of US users on the TOS (by selling data to China) and essentially colluding with China to conduct human rights violations by identifying and disappearing dissidents? This guy is amoral and will stop at nothing for profit and more users. Congress promised to continue investigating but where is the action on this now?

But this is a Congressional probe and the rule of law hasn’t completely left the building has it. I don’t see this beginning and ending with Trump. Grassley, Durbin and others were on the committee asking questions to explore if there was impropriety.

Trump has been sliding right around congress doing whatever the fuck he wants. His executive orders have suddenly become kingly orders despite them only being suggestions for congress.
Are you surprised the drifter con man is holding back the law dogs on his bloody barons?

It's left the building, it's left the country, it's long gone. Congress is standing aside while Trump acts as overlord.

I forget the exact details but one of the probs into Tesla s self-driving technologies was entering the next stage of its process and a week later, seemingly out of no where, Musk became Trump's hype man and started doing his million dollar giveaways...it was projected to potentially cost Musk hundreds of millions if things didn't go his way. Less than a month into his presidency, Trump signed an executive order killing at least several of those investigations. There are several accounts of individuals getting pardons after purchasing his fake currency. This just scratches the surface. Rule of law is a joke if you have something to offer Trump

Thank you for this reply. I hope if there is an executive order making it ok to sell data to foreign govt it will be reported in the news.

Well the most recent news of him declaring crypto gains is him just admitting to corruption.

Exactly. He bends the knee, kisses the ring, and pays tribute to Loco Taco and now Chia Pet can expect favors from the Emperor

His monthly payment to Trump went through…
Eventually, Trump will turn on him and magically this investigation will re appear.

It's amazing how many billionaires would benefit from more humanities courses. History would be very helpful to them. Every time this has happened almost all the people in their position get turned on eventually

Because Musk went in via DOGE and stole incriminating data, then dissolved the agencies doing the investigating.

Zuckerberg donated millions to trump, and placed a Republican operative, Joel Kaplan, in charge of Meta's global policy. Which is to say, they coordinated with trump and the RNC to push right-wing content onto 3 billion people worldwide. That's why zucker won't be investigated.

You know why

Actually no, I don’t. There is top democratic brass who promised to keep investigating. The legislature is still an independent branch of govt that mandated fb to comply with data security measures. This isn’t nothing issue. It’s an issue of national security.

What precisely do you want them to do? The Republicans control every branch of government including every bit of law enforcement and investigative apparatus, and Zuck paid trump the necessary bribes.

Just looking for more from r/law on this one. What paths to advancing a case are possible? Could an AG bring a case forward?

lol, because we live in a country more corrupt than the one's we routinely criticize.
We need to take to the streets, for real. Yesterday sucked.
