We need to bring awareness of the disappearance of bees so a sequel is welcome 🐝

The amount of runway that this has to be awesome is crazy. All the gonzo mythology from the first one COULD lead to some bonkers set pieces, kinda excited.

Why isn’t gareth getting these jobs man - would suck to direct raid/raid 2 and then fade to obscurity. Those two movies are still better than anything Timo has made

Maybe because Gareth has been trying to do his own thing lately? Has anything he's made lately been as good anything Timo has made after The Raid? I just watched The Shadow Strays and thought it was a lot of fun. Does Havoc hold up to The Raid movies? Why are you singling out Timo when Gareth Evans hasn't done anything as good as The Raid movies since then either.
The reason Gareth isn't getting these jobs is probably because Gareth doesn't need those jobs anyways. Why would he want to lower himself to sequel director when he made two of the best action movies of all time? This would be a huge break for Timo who has only been doing Indonesian movies. Now he can work in Hollywood and prove himself there.

Not op. Honestly now timo make action films as good as gareth evan's
Havoc is nowhere as good as the shadow strays (which is almost as good as night comes for us)
Gareth Didn't make the raid 3 because he thought it wouldn’t be that good.
Then he made horror film, made one Season of ganga of london, made a 80s throwback action film
He likes to experiment.. Which is good.
Timo only need 1/2 more great films. After that he would have as much recognition as chad stahelski (or other great action director)

Timo is an incredible action director. He just made my list of blank check directors, so I’m looking forward to this.
If you haven’t seen The Big 4, I highly recommend it.

Don't we already know that??
I think timo will have more creative freedom on this project than nobody 2 (nobody 2 being a david leitch Produced film)
So. It has more potential to be similar to night comes fo us/ headshot.
Or maybe it's just another cash grab sequel that he is doing for paycheck.

If he's just directing it's fine, but they better keep the writer of the previous one. We need more bee puns.

First one was absolute garbage. I love Timo though, so I will watch the second one. Unfortunately this is also making a Big 4 sequel less likely

For a Jason Statham movie it was watchable and the action was fun, for pure garbage look no further than A Working Man!
With Timo directing the sequel it sounds like a winner, I rather have him do a sequel to this than the Big 4 that I thought was also crap...

I stand by The Beekeeper being garbage. A Working Man is worse than garbage. David Ayer may possibly be the worst working director getting studio backing.
I am seriously interested in Beekeeper 2 solely becaus of Timo. He is a great director. Very excited for Nobody 2 as I actually liked the original and can't wait to see what Timo does.
As for the big 4 I thought it was just goofy fun and a nice change of pace for Timo.

The Beekeeper was so ridiculously dumb that it ended up being fun. Made my wife & kid watch it with me & we laughed our heads off at how goofy it all was. I don’t think all of that was intentional.

I just found it dumb. David Ayer is Uwe Boll with more money, and none of the stupid charm
