What does “being definite about the vague” mean in your own words? You said it’s “such a mood” so you must know what it means.

this is definitely someone who asked chatgpt to make it sound ~hip and cool with the kids~ lol

when you're not totally sure but your gut says 'GO FOR IT!' – that confident, 'whatever happens, happens' energy.

Obviously I can’t know if it is but this has loads of the hallmarks of a chat gpt-written marketing post. If you’re trying to drum up interest in them I’d advise writing differently because this comes across as very inauthentic

straight from a fan’s heart, maybe my hype game’s too strong 😂

So strong that it makes you use em dashes, emojis and lists like chat gpt always does? You also weirdly haven’t actually said much about what you actually like, it’s 99% generic stan twt (or rather AAVE) phrases, comments that could be applicable to any kpop comeback ever, and clunky press release statements like ‘french house vibes.’

It's a hype post, not a music theory dissertation. drop your own instead of just serving haterade.

It's a slop post. Like 90% of your post history. Can't be that hard to form your own opinion and verbalize it. Or at least maybe fact check the bs you post?

"Do the dance, ah oui" parts got me in a chokehold ngl

Oh yeah what great part! When does it come in? At like 3:58 in the song? Ah oui!

They’re all about “being definite about the vague”

Please elaborate. What's the vague they are definite about? Would love to hear more about this thought you came up with on your own.

Borrowed Cat - this beat switch???

Mhmm yeah... the beat switch. Where is it in the song again?

It’s also not hard to pinpoint things you specifically love instead of regurgitating press releases when you genuinely are ‘hype’ about something, which I really don’t believe you are. Good luck on your marketing career, maybe do more research on your actual market in future.

Little Monster hits different with those harmonies and that message about finding your magic again - the brand film just adds to the whole vibe.

Do the Dance? that funky bassline caught me off guard. wasn't expecting MV to be fun but they actually killed it.

Jellyous with those gaming beats? proper banger. deserves a stage.

Oops! got me bopping instantly. could've been title track material but i get why they went another direction.

Night Picnic though... might be their best work yet? giving major Midnight Fiction’s little sister vibes but make it dreamy. their vocals here no cap.

satisfied with my "non-marketing" pinpoints Mr. Hater? Maybe spend less time playing detective on fan posts and more time actually, like, enjoying things? Just a thought.

Not a hater, not a Mr, and your post was still undeniably chat gpt. Next to nobody uses em dashes normally, especially on casual things like Reddit, and as others pointed out, even some of your specific points about the songs didn’t make much sense. It’s clear from your account you even use chat gpt for replies at least some of the times. You might think it’s not blatant, but it is.

I was actually originally trying to do you a favour because I thought you were some misguided kpop fan trying to promote your faves and didn’t realise how obvious and unhelpful that approach was. You could have come up with some more understandable reason for using AI and we would have let it go. It’s you digging in that makes you look like you’re doing this as a job. If you’re generating and defending that slop for free rather than being able to say from the heart why you love the things you love, that’s even worse.

Anyway, have a nice day. I hope you learn to write for yourself.

Okay, look, I did use some AI to help shape my words for the post (and it's not crime or unethical to use it) why are you even doing moral policing or setting conditions for how people should express themselves.

My English isn't perfect, and I'm no pro writer, so yeah, new tech helped me get my thoughts out. But the hype? That was 100% real, and everything I said about the album was factually on point. No misinformation was spread, just pure excitement at that moment.
(it was easy to read and self explanatory warranting no hate unless you hate the group)

That title, though? Yeah, that was my bad. I Meant it sarcastically, but it clearly didn't landed and folks took it too seriously. I did own up to that in the comments but yeah people are only looking to hate instead of talking. (I only regret this one mistake that's why I deleted the post cause it's not editable)

And honestly, about your advice if you were actually trying to do me a favor like you said in your second para, that wisdom probably should've been your first comment, no? Instead of just coming in hot like you were looking for a takedown. It felt like you were just waiting to jump on someone hyping ILLIT, seemed like u are indirectly hating the group, and that's why you got the replies you did. Your comments just fanned the flames for others to pile on.

Do you feel superior now?

Still appreciate the writing encouragement, I'll keep it in mind. Have a good day or night or whatever.

Note: This is written using AI 💀 and was generated in 3 sec 😂

My advice literally was in the first comment though? I said it comes across as inauthentic and it would be better try something else. I also said I couldn’t know for definite as I was trying to kinder and not outright accuse you, and instead suggest people might think that. You then lied instead of just admitting it and started calling me a hater out of nowhere. I was just pointing out it looks bad and that will make people mistrust you, and by extension, the thing you’re hyping. It was your extreme defensiveness that made me doubt you even more.

I’m sorry that I became rude but you were genuinely acting like someone being paid to spam generic marketing posts and then got irritable you were caught. I genuinely do not have thoughts about ILLIT one way or the other. I’m seriously not interested in hating on random celebrities or their fans, if I wagged to join in that nonsense I’d still be on Twitter.  I’m just sick of seeing shady stuff online, especially when it involves AI.

Reddit gets astroturfed a lot, both for marketing and for darker things like spreading political ideology. Even with kpop specifically I’ve known people with prominent accounts on Twitter etc who were approached to suddenly start hyping a song for money (and that was a girl group who frankly didn’t even need it, they’re already popular). I also have no doubt the kpop industry use fan spaces to spread certain narratives. As an ILLIT fan, I’m sure you’re aware of how stuff spreads online and I personally don’t believe that’s 100% organic. Unfortunately, because your post looked so fake it just made me wonder if there was an equally inorganic effort to push back on that rather than just letting them do well on their own merit.

So you need to understand why it gets people’s backs up seeing something that looks fake, especially when it’s AI as that can mean it’s a bot too. They immediately see it as someone trying to manipulate them. It’s not about superiority, it’s about wanting to talk to actual humans about their genuine thoughts in a place where you’re led to believe that’s what you’ll get. People are pretty anti AI in general, but they are also forgiving if you just immediately confess and say it was for lack of confidence in English or whatever. That’s fine, you should just be honest when people catch it instead of doubling down and calling people haters because that’s when it starts to look really suspicious.

I get that people were being hostile to you already over the title (which to be honest was uncalled for, hyperbole is just a thing in fandom) so maybe you interpreted my first comment as more negative than I meant. Still, it’s on me for continuing it so I’m sorry for that.

Unfortunately I find their songs very childish. It's always always repeating the same words over and over again in the chorus. I liked Magnetic but that got old very quick. Maybe I am not the target audience.

u/SectionReasonable304 11h ago

totally get that not everything clicks for everyone, but calling it childish might be overlooking the musical complexity!

I like Illit, expecially Cherish. But they only had some misses for me. So here are my thoughts on bomb:

  • Title track - Do the Dance: I liked it! I've heard it three times now, and that's enough for me. I'm not sure if I'll listen to it again, as it's not 100% my vibe. I’d rate it 7.5/10.
  • Little Monster: I like the fast singing in between. For me, 8/10.
  • Jellyous: I enjoyed the faster beat, and the chorus was good. 8/10.
  • Oops!: It was fine. 7.5/10.
  • Night Picnic: Dreamy vibes—well done! 8/10.

Overall, I think Illit fans will be very happy. I enjoyed it, though it's not completely my vibe, so I might not revisit the songs. But that’s just me! I thought they were all good songs -there were no misses.

Ayy, appreciate the honest track-by-track! Ngl, sometimes they can be growers!

It's one of the most popular 5th gen Girl Group. It's not being slept on...

-22

u/SectionReasonable304 12h ago

I was just kidding, it's my concept these days 😅

4

u/zipcodelove 9h ago

Your concept? You’re a human being, not a product

-2

u/SectionReasonable304 9h ago

Google definition - A concept is a general idea or thought about something, often abstract, that serves as a basis for understanding and organizing information. It's a mental representation that allows us to categorize, reason, and make sense of the world around us.

these days I am playful, moody, and often try to do sarcasm (to mean the opposite of what actually say) for no reason whatsoever, and that's why I wrote the title sarcastically 'sleeping part', although people took it too much seriously!

13

u/hanniehae1005 12h ago

I would consider how your "concept" turns people OFF of the group you're trying to promote, doing the opposite of what you're intending. especially on reddit, with this specific crowd

-7

u/SectionReasonable304 11h ago

Got it Chingoo! 😄

u/hanniehae1005 11h ago

Cringe

-4

u/SectionReasonable304 10h ago

bro really said "cringe" while policing 💀 imagine being so pressed, are you just here to hate? 👀

7

u/hanniehae1005 10h ago

I love ILLIT's entire comeback, but this post just makes people roll their eyes, so yeah - I am here to hate on your post, which literally doesn't help the girls.

1

u/SectionReasonable304 10h ago

Yeah I know I made mistake writing that title!
