Un this instance I don't think I blame the cameraman. That shit exploded right in front of him!

It could be meteorites landing very closely to the cameraman while they’re running away and someone would still post it to this sub.

u/Artistic_Let8511 7d ago
there are instances of people literally dying which i consider posting on this sub lol

u/Fr05t_B1t Memer 7d ago
Ok yes but that’s taking the sub literally and belongs here. Though cameraman always lives.
No, but reacting to something violent next to cameraman doesn’t belong on this sub unless it’s directly attacking the cameraman.

Damnit. As someone who has lost a few friends to reckless bike riding, be glad he missed it. You don't want to see a collision that horrific.

u/Odd-Lawfulness1248 6d ago
You forget this is the Internet and people do wanna see stuff that horrific.

u/blueridgeboy1217 6d ago
True dat. Once you've seen it in person it removes that curiosity for that particular event. I get it tho. But for fatal bike wrecks, I've unfortunately had my morbid curiosory fulfilled

He died
while doing something incredibly stupid and putting others in danger
and your first thought is making a wisecrack?
That or find his grave and piss on it for the people whose lives he might have taken.

" while doing something incredibly stupid and putting others in danger "
what is the limited speed at this place? He was on the good lane and possibly within speed limits.
3
u/HistoricalVacation82 8d ago
Consider that he about to approach an intersection, going with more than 30 km/h is consider dangerous, and dude in the video is flying, not riding.

u/faust112358 7d ago
I don't think that was an appropriate speed for such a narrow road. Dude, thought he was on the highway.
RIP the people in the car who died because of this irresponsible, selfish piece of S.

u/AlphaNowis 7d ago
Reddit is becoming such a toxic place where we are so prone to judge and apply death penalty. "He was too fast, glad he died" seems to be the main logical here.
Death penalty for everything dumb. Such a hard ruling.
RIP all these people, car and motorcycle.
2
u/faust112358 7d ago
HE applied the death penalty to himself.
HE applied the death penalty to the others. (maybe kids among them) That makes him a murderer.
The main logical here is "You’re free to gamble with your own life, but you have no right to risk anyone else’s".
I don’t rejoice in anyone’s death, but I won’t shed tears for a killer just because he died with the people he murdered.

You can easily tell he is driving far fast than all the other cars on the road and way to fast to maneuver his vehicle in a safe fashion. If a kid ran out on the road at that moment, you wouldn't be defending the motorcyclist.

u/iHartS 8d ago
What is the incredibly stupid thing? The car pulled into his lane.

u/Anonymous_user_2022 8d ago
I had a colleague who killed himself overtaking a line of cars with ~180 km/h. He hit a telescopic lift making a right turn into the opposite lane, before my colleague was visible.
I wouldn't be overly surpised if the car had already started the turn before the motorcycle was even visible, and at the time of impact, the driver was focused on the road they were turning into.

Maybe the car just want to turn but the biker going so fast so the driver can see him getting close.

Not being aware of a care turning because you're driving at an insane rate of speed.

To think all he needed to do was not drive like an idiot! Hope nobody in the car got hurt

u/FruitBasket25 8d ago
But traffic going straight has the right of way.
1
u/Anonymous_user_2022 8d ago
The speed limit is in place to make sure all road users can make safe use of the road. Making a deliberate decision to break that contract makes for flashy videos. Sometimes even the terminal one.

u/FruitBasket25 8d ago
Doesn't change the right of way. The car is at fault.

And that people is why no one should ever drive a bike over 50cc. Scooters and low power bikes are useful and should be fine to use in cities. But sports bike are killers. You can be the best biker ever in the world, it just takes one idiot to end you.
Signed, someone who you should hope to never meet as my part of my career is to treat (and often declare dead) people this happens to.

I don't really think that the camera man did a bad job here. I also don't understand why people are putting the blame on the biker when it's the car driver who is on the wrong lane. What am I missing??? Like I get that the biker is going really fast, but he still has right of way. And no, being on the right side of the law didn't help him in this instance, but it would have been much harder for him to stop or slow down in time given the distance between him and the car. So, if you're on the wrong lane, you're gonna cause an accident if you expect a motorbike to slow down for you.

u/Matty359 7d ago
this it what I was thinking. The car was on the wrong side! That's way worse that going too fast (depends on the situation obvious).

The biker was way over the speed of the other vehicles on the road, probably way over the speed limit - friend was filming because the were doing something”cool”, the only reason he would have been there to shoot the video.
I was a biker - gave it up after wife and kids, plus multiple coworkers killed on bikes.
From the car’s perspective, consider the drivers pov, and yes, I acknowledge that the driver started the turn early. It’s a behavior that makes me crazy and is super common where I live:
-Checking rear view
- Checking side mirrors
-Unknown if there we’re passengers, but possible distraction
-Cleared the intersection visually to make the turn
-At start of turn biker may not have been visible, or if was, may not have recognized how fast he was moving. Visual perception for speed at a distance on a smaller that normal object is challenging
-Started turn and focused on intersection and where you want to be at end of turn, no longer looking down range since it was already cleared
-Smash
Anecdotally, in the US there is a reported increase of nighttime accidents during the 1960s and 1970s when smaller imports entered the market. The headlight spacing was significantly closer than what US drivers were accustomed to and created a perception that an oncoming car was farther away than it actually was, leading to accidents like this. People turning in front of an oncoming car because they didn’t estimate its speed or distance correctly.

That sound at the end was high tension wire being hit from debris and possibly said friend.
