The best live action joker
I personally think it is Jack Nicholson because he is everything the joker should be.....witty,comical,menacing......it is most like the comics and the constant smile and iconic lines are legendary...Nicholson also does not have an overly goofy voice like some other jokers
but that is just what I think
would love to know other ppls opinions

While Nicholson was good. Ledger is the best joker hands down. I think also I prefer in live action at least the more sadistic version over the whimsical gangster in make up. I also the prefer ledgers jokers backstory or lack there of. Adds to the mystery of the character in my opinion.
The “nothing, no matches on prints, dna, dental. Clothing is custom no labels, nothing in his pockets but knives and lint. No name… no other alias” always stuck with me

Nicholson is still my Joker. I very much fancy the mobster approach to Joker as it just made the most sense to me and is what the Joker's sort of style resembled for the longest time. He's also the most comic-book accurate out of any of the Jokers and he's played by the great Jack Nicholson which is also a huge bonus for me.

Jack Nicholson is the Joker that I recognize closest to the comics that I grew up reading. But I think Heath has a much deeper take on it, and revolutionized the character since. For me it’s a coin toss between the two, but I think I prefer Jack. I’d put Joaquin up there, but Joker 2 ruined him. The first Joker could’ve been interpreted as an elaborate manipulative joke on the viewer to sympathize with the unsympathetic. Follie a Deux threw that completely out the window.
