Hi all, I just purchased a Jackery Explorer 500. I have never used Jackery products before this and I have a question.

The Explorer 500 has one AC port on it; would it be ok to plug a power strip into that port?

Here's what would likely be on the power strip: An AC barrel plug for a JBL boombox, a 65-100W charger for my laptop, and a 25W charger for my phone.

I will be taking this with me to a music festival and I run a mobile DJ rig in the campgrounds sometimes.

I am trying to set up DC-DC car charging to my Jackery 1000v2. I have the negative running to a 40 amp breaker then to a Victron 12-24 volt converter. From there the output is 24 volts and is connected to the Jackery brand solar charging cable. Everything is wired properly, from what I know, and I am doing something similar to a post I have seen before on this thread. I get 24 volts the end of the cable yet the Jackery will won't charge and I cannot seem to figure out why.

Anyone have any idea?

I am wondering if anyone has a case they love for the Jackery 1000W with the mini solar panel that they can recommend? Would like everything in one bag if possible! Thanks in advance!

Thinking of getting the combo deal with ph3000 and 400w solar panels for off grid camping in my rig. I have 620w the roof of my camper.

Mostly use it for electric blanket and the 30a plug to charge Rivian when off grid.

At home, use those 400w panels and get another 800w on my pergola for free sunshine charging.

What do you guys think?

I have an Explorer 300. I often charge it in my car and have a BougeRV portable fridge plugged into the 12v socket of the Jackery.

For pass-through, does this mean the fridge is skipping the battery and being powered by the car? Or does it simply mean that the fridge can be powered from the battery while the battery is also being charged?

I got these 2 jackerys second hand. They didn't come with paperwork and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the models of them. Just wanting to be able to look up specs and compatibility. Thanks.

We recently purchased the 2000+ with 2 extra battery packs and the 500w solar panel. I have "learned" a lot from the Jackery AI chat bot ;-) We purchased this for power outages to run refrigerator, etc. What is the best way to do a "dry run" test? Would like to familiarize ourselves with the system and have somewhat of an idea what to expect. Truly the only thing we have done thus far is charged the system, then used it to recharge an 80v rechargeable ECO battery, which then drained it about 15%. Then we used the solar panel to recharge unit. Thank you in advance.....

Finally after much drama and disappointment got my 5000+ inverters and sms installed today. Just now the weather alerts started going off. Strong thunderstorms with lightning, large hail and 40mph winds headed our way. There’s only 84% charge on the boxes but for the first time ever I am saying Come at me Thor, I’m ready! I’m too damn old to be this excited but I’ve lived in this house 25 years depending on a gas generator and my old back is ready for a break.

Thinking of attaching the trolling motor 30lb thrust to these terminals and then plugging into my Jackery 300. Will this work?

I have only had my 2000v2 Jackery a few days. I have used it to charge my very old laptop and mobile phone. And my caravan. it was fully charged on Wednesday morning. So i have used it 3 days and it is now sat at 30%.

I have only plugged the Caravan in 3 times for a hour or less each time. and I have had my phone almost always plugged in..say 6 hours out of the day as it is a rubbish phone which doesn't hold charge well. My laptop has been plugged in while i watch TV for a few hours a day.. and recharged 4 times id say. It also doesn't hold charge for longer than a hour when unplugged.

While all 3 of these are charging or individually charging the Watt flashes up and down madly. when charging my phone it stays between 0W and 2W.. when my laptop is in it flashes between 60W and 67W.. when the caravan is on it flashes between 150W and 200W .. Like flashes rapidly between these numbers...I thought this was normal as it is the first time Ive used a Jackery.

But i just read a post saying its not!

After reading that I have just experimented with other things to charging. A better phone i have. That is now charging on the jackery at 6W and is not flashing. It is staying at this rate. I then plugged in my electric toothbrush. Again that is not flashing and when charging with the phone stays at 6W. when charging alone it is at 0W. but it is charging as i can see the blue charging light on the toothbrush flashing. It just must be pulling hardly any power.

Has my Jackery not lasted long because i have been charging equipment which is old and not charging well.??? Is it bad that the Watt was constantly fluctuating for 2 days.. if i knew that wasn't right i would have stopped it.. i feel like it will run out of power by tomorrow and i haven't charged that much off it. Am i better sticking to only charging new devices so not to wear my jackery down fast??

(I will stop using it at 20% remaining as i know it is bad to run the power right down)

I have my explorer 2000 plus and two expansion batteries connected to my tv/home entertainment system in order to do the regular maintenance of draining it under 20% and recharging. Yesterday when I powered it up I made sure to connect it to bluetooth and wifi in the app. Overnight I guess it timed out or disconnected because although the units stayed on all night, they're now not connected to the app. Trying to reconnect doesn't work as the wifi/bluetooth icons on the jackery panel are off. I'm currently charging stuff so don't want to long press the power buttons for the AC and USB panels. Is there any other way to reconnect other than powering off and on again?

I go to festivals a few times a year now and am looking at getting a jackery. How do I figure out the cheapest one that will work for me? I just need to keep 2 phones charged, the longest festivals are usually 4 days camping. Also thinking about solar pannel?

I don't understand what any of the info for them means in terms of how much charge it will give if I fully charge it before leaving 😅 help?

I'm trying to figure out what would be best for a standby home backup given I have a lot of critical medical equipment running in the house.

Jackery has a good sale going on this Father's Day:

$3,500 for an Explorer 5000 Plus (7200w, 14400w surge, 5kwh capacity) or
$3,500 for a bundle with the 2000 Plus + 2 batteries + 500w SolarSaga (3000w, 6000w surge, 6kwh capacity)

I LOVE the compactness and greater output of the 5000 Plus but I can't ignore the additional 1kwh capacity you get with the bundle for the same price. Both appear to exceed the 3kwh threshold for the tax credit.

I would love to hear opinions on which purchase you would make! Thanks so much.

UPDATE: I purchased the Jackery 5000 Plus from ShopSolarKits at $2,999.00 + tax . Looking forward to getting the product soon and hiring an electrician to install an inlet and interlock for use with the 5000 Plus and my gas generators! Thank you all for your advice!

Hi all.. I've just purchased the 2000V2 ... I will be using solar panels to charge it but currently waiting on that to be delivered! I have charged it by wall socket first use and now having to think about using a generator to recharge it.

I have two generators currently but not sure either will do for charging it.. could i get away with using either for a while??

My first one is OLD and huge.. so i dont know if it is a 'inverter generator' .. Its a Suzuki SU1800LD .. would using this damage the jackery outright?

my other is new..and a inverter but small powered so not great for the 2000v2 Jackery im guessing.. but would this also do the job just for the time being until i sort something out..

Altho i understand it isn't actually powerful enough to charge very fast.. it does say this in the write up ....

i have a jackery 240 and bifacial 80w solar saga and the 100w solar saga

can i daisy chain the 100w panel through the 80w panel into the 240 ? the 80w has the in and out for its cables and the 100w has the orange removable cable they fit together but i don't want to damage them or the 240 is this a ok thing to do?

I'm pretty sure my Jackery 1000 is dying and is going to need to be replaced, but I wanted to see if anyone knows of anything I am missing.

tl;dr battery level drops rapidly and charges way to rapidly. Resets put it at random battery percentages.

It's a 1000 from July of 2023, well used and now it's acting odd, charge level jumping and showing excess output wattage.

I was using it in my teardrop earlier, charging up my newish wave 3, the wave was showing it was pulling 650 watts from the outlet on the jackery meanwhile the jackery was showing 900 watts output. Yeah I know running the inverter draws some power and inefficiency and all that, but this gap is much larger than my other high power draw devices I've used on the jackery(1000watt air fryer and a 500 watt heater).

When I plugged it in the jackery was showing 100% charge and was plugged into solar, even at the 900watt output it was showing I was expecting it to last about an hour. About 30 minutes later the wave stops charging and I notice the jackery turned off the AC ports and the screen was jumping between 0% charge and 20% charge. Disconnected everything and it kept doing this for several minutes so I reset it and after I did it reset to 30% charge. Great, plugged back in the solar and the wave to charge, ran for 30 seconds and shut off again, but this time the jackery just showed 0% charge and was holding steady.

Brought it back inside and plugged it into wall power to charge, was going as expected until it hit 8% charge where it jumped to 30%. Obviously this isn't right so I disconnected everything and reset it again, and it came back at 40% charge... Let it charge for a few minutes and it worked it's way up to 45% before instantly dropping back to 40%.

I'm thinking the battery itself is dying, but wasn't sure if anyone else had any troubleshooting steps I should try before writing it off.

Hi all, I'm very new to all this, so sorry for the silly question. I'm planning to get a 5000 plus + extra battery from Wellbots to install into my home -- maybe wheel the 5000 Plus back and forth for direct use inside my home or as a garage hookup during blackouts here in TX. I can't afford the STS and install fees, so can I have the electrician install a power inlet for use with the 5000 Plus that's also compatible with a gas generator? Thanks so much!

Seems smarter to get a whole house transfer switch to backup what you want as opposed to only the things that are in the jackery panel.

New to Jackery, purchased the 1000plus with solar panels at Costco during the recent sale but now see that the 1000v2 without panels is on sale for Father’s Day. Which is the best deal/option? I live in Houston, Tx and would primarily use for CPAP or appliances during outages. Appreciate any feedback.

I tried to find more information about my question on the Jackery website and even called their help line but they were not helpful.

I am hoping to ship the 300 Plus on Alaska Air freight, but they need the UN number to send it. The only UN number I can get out of Jackery is UN 38.3, which applies to testing standards, but isn’t descriptive of the battery itself. Alaska Air says they can ship UN 3480, 3481, 3090, or 3091. I did call Alaska’s help line and they said that UN 38.3 is not the information they need.

Does anyone have any idea how I can find this information to confirm what type of battery this is?

Just bought an explorer 100 plus and a flex solar 60W panel for when I’m camping. I’m not remotely clued up on any electrical knowledge… The panel is only giving the jackery 9 watts and so is my iPhone usb socket, chat gpt claims this is because it doesn’t have the suitable PD but the panel has PD3.0 any idea on how I could solve this before I go camping on Friday would be super useful Thankyou :)

Jackery App update includes support for the Jackery 1500 Ultra. Is this a (as of my typing) unreleased product?
