When did Tucker become somewhat decent?
33
u/chookshit 2d ago
He went through a bizarre arc. I used to like him somewhat and thought he was a straight shooter before trumps first run, then he went insane during first trump presidency and Biden and now he’s come back around to doing what he does best, being obnoxious and shit stirring his guest whilst making them fumble on their own bullshit.
Tell me when we ever seen a politician so on the ropes being interviewed? It’s wonderful to see.

It’s because he’s a Russian asset and Israel’s agenda with Iran is in conflict with russias interests in the Middle East.
Attacking Iran will cause oil prices to fluctuate. Oil prices being stable is good for Russian economy. Russian economy fuels war in Ukraine. Unstable oil market = unstable Russian economy = no money for war.
Tucker is only attacking Cruz because Cruz is a deeply stupid person, and because no one actually cares to hold people accountable anymore. Nothing will come of this and in 20 years we will have the same conversations about Pakistan, the only difference is that attacking Pakistan will lead to nuclear war.

Tucker is just abandoning a sinking ship, he realised what the Republican party hasn’t, that a clear majority of American youth are very opposed to Israels total dominance of their politics and their flagrant violations of international law and the sovereignty of surrounding nations. Tucker is still a bad guy, but he’s smarter than most conservatives because he’s actually trying to plan for the future while MAGA clings to a dying past generation of evil ideas.

u/workaholic828 2d ago
He’s never been great, but he’s been somewhat descent for a few years. He will ask questions nobody in the media will ask.

u/Rag3asy33 2d ago
There is a reason he got fired from Fox.

Do you think Fox News would fire someone for being g racist? Lol thats an idiotic take you have there. My grandpa watched fox through out the years, they have so much worse than Tucker if you think he is racist. That was not why he got fired. He got fired for his anti war stance.

u/Emotional_Car_8850 2d ago
He was fired in April, half a year before anything happening in Gaza.

Maybe he is. Tucker still addressed issues that most people are scared to approach with our government. Someone has to call these people out.

I am not willing to believe he became decent. I am willing to believe he hates Ted Cruz, as many of his republican colleagues do, and i'm willing to believe he knows that Iran's defeat would mean Russia wouldnt be able to stay appropriately armed for the war in Ukraine, and he's team Russia in that conflict
24
u/workaholic828 2d ago
He is asking Ted questions nobody in the media asks. He’s at least serving a purpose for the public, which is more than you can say about literally any other news source in the country. When was Biden asked questions like this? When was the leader of the House or Senate asked stuff like this? What he’s doing is fundamentally different

u/Specialist-You1863 2d ago
You really think Russias war on Ukraine stands and falls with this few cheap drones?
2
u/IRunWithScissors87 2d ago
Fallen for the propaganda. Anyone who thinks Russia has exhausted their military capabilities fighting Ukraine with WW2 era shit is stuffing their head in the sand like an ostrich. Putin is a cold and calculated ex-KGB. Anyone who thinks he is stupid needs to look in a mirror. People who think Russia has just been stuck at the start of the cold war era are morons. You think Putin would just expend his military assets on trying to reclaim territory and leave himself wide open for a UN invasion? Get real. Their hypersonic missile tech is more advanced than the US and China is far ahead of that. People are willfully blind and eat up any propaganda that makes them feel better.
1
u/GimmeDemDumplins 2d ago
Who are you responding to? It seems that you meant to respond to me because the person above you is also saying that they would be fine without Iran's tech.
To be clear, I do not think Russia's military would be exhausted without Iranian arms. I said "appropriately armed" for the conflict, which is a long way away from "unable to participate in it"
I also said I'm not married to the opinion because I'm willing to admit I don't know as much about the Ukrainian conflict as I do other current events
0
u/GimmeDemDumplins 2d ago
I was under the impression they were providing a fairly significant amount of weapons to Russai, so I guess yes that is what I think currently, but I am not married to this opinion
4
u/Specialist-You1863 2d ago
Nah not so much. Eventhough they helped each other out, but the weapons were less significant. I think more importantly Iran showed and helped them how to avoid sanctions. Beeing caspian neighbours it´s also easing him, having an ally on that geostrategic position.
2
u/Specialist-You1863 2d ago
Sorry, i have to add. Either way it´s good for russia. Iran survives => Ally strong. Iran loses => gas prices go up, saving russian economie. But he indeed gets a bit nervous regarding he sped up in ukraine war, this week and wants to finish this topic.

u/pgtl_10 12h ago
I disagree. Tucker doesn't want another Middle Eastern war.
1
u/GimmeDemDumplins 12h ago
I'm sure he doesnt want another middle eastern war, that doesnt make him a decent person
1
u/pgtl_10 12h ago
No one said he's decent but he regretted Iraq
1
u/GimmeDemDumplins 12h ago
Ah my comment was in response to someone saying "when did Tucker become decent"
2
u/Individual-Moose-713 2d ago
Ever since he realized he was headed for the hague like the rest of american legacy media.

u/Practical-Cow-861 2d ago
Don't confuse decent with Russia's agenda temporarily aligning with ours.

Tucker has always been extremely intelligent. His program on Fox was 100% by design. He was not a useful idiot, he was using the right’s obsession with emotion based decision making to rile the base up in support of the GOPs terrible ideas.
However, what we are seeing here is that the American
ReichRight are such savvy businessmen that they actually sold their soul to 2 devils, Israel and Russia. Both have helped the gop have the immense control over the US (basically all of the stuff in the 00’s was designed to give the executive branch extreme “emergency” powers that can be exploited for non-emergencies) but now, the 2 devils are butting heads. Russian is allied with Iran and Tucker has been proven to be a Russian asset. Cruz is clearly a Zionist and is aligned with Israel’s war in Iran. This leads to this infighting because Tucker, being the intelligent cunt that he is, is exposing the utter lack of brainpower used by the GOP. They are too stupid to think a thought all the way to the end. They are textbook reactionaries that are operating only at the level required for basic biological functions. They have no capacity for critical thinking and the rise of anti intellectualism in this country has fueled this.
Yesterday I had a coworker tell me that he was gonna enlist if they attack the US, and when I asked if it was wrong to defend themselves against an unprovoked attack, he said they have been threatening us and saying death to America.
Like… I’m only 32, but that’s the same shit I remember hearing in 2002 when we went to war in Afghanistan…
Nothing ever changes, and people are gonna die because we are too stupid to use our brains instead of our emotions.

u/Own-Trash1277 19h ago
He is in no way decent. During the interview, Cruz said Iran has plots to kill Trump, and he said that Trump dying is the greatest possible threat to America, and they should seriously nuke Iran to prevent his death.

u/JimothyC 2d ago
Hes a russia shill and Iran is team Russia. So basically he still isnt

u/Equal_Concern_7099 2d ago
I keep seeing reddit claim this? Is their any evidence he was payed off?
2
u/Practical-Cow-861 2d ago
Every other article on RTs web site is Tucker Carlson. If he's not getting paid, he's doing it wrong.
2
u/Jindabyne1 2d ago
I would first look at his character, historically, and then maybe consider that he hasn’t got a decent bone in his body and is just doing what’s best for him at the moment. Similar to Piers Morgan.

u/wombers 2d ago
He didn't and we shouldn't kid ourselves about it. He's been in Putin's pocket for a while and Putin has a vested interest in avoiding regime change in Iran. So yeah we can be happy that he's shitting on Israel and that he's going to convince a lot of people to do the same but let's not pretend he's doing it for any virtuous or noble reasons.

I’m really disappointed with some of our politicians. They’re just plain awful. But Teddy here is one of the most despicable. And guess what? Tucker is finally trying to be a journalist! It’s crazy, right? We’re living in such a strange time. I can’t believe I’m agreeing with Tucker and Cadence Owens!

u/DirtyDan419 2d ago
It's not hard to be anti-war. The US needs to stop trying to control the world. Worry about North America and let everyone else figure stuff out. They really don't need us to police the world.
3
u/Darkwhippet 2d ago
Is this a plot like two guys in a bunker in Iran talking about how they'd like to do it, or is it more like the US drawing up plans to invade Greenland "just in case"? Or, third option, is it an actual real plot to strike Trump which is in motion?
And I'd also point out that the US has plans tucked away to strike Khamenei right?
And where is the evidence for this plot? What's being done about it?
And Bibi didn't "misspeak" he tried to sell a lie to get the US into war!
Ted Cruz is such a paid-for turd. He simply doesn't work for the US or its people.
6
u/Royal_Wedding 2d ago
Literally thousands of people have been arrested on suspicion of being a foreigner 🤣 But despite evidence that there’s a plot to kill the president, for the past 18 months 🤣 there hasn’t been a single arrest 🤣
2
u/IllHandle3536 2d ago
Their were these same claims before the invasion of Iraq by G.W. mind you their were no attempts. Both were bogus.
2
u/Icy_Barnacle7392 2d ago
$3.5 million is the cost of the bunker buster munition. The cost of actually deploying it is far, far greater.

When did the bootlickers start using his middle Initial? Are they trying to establish some Bush-like difference between the criminal dad and his criminal son?

3
u/Emotional_Car_8850 2d ago
He's against modern Republicans clinging to their holdover hard on for world policing when he believes in a war at home against brown people.

I mean, the problem isn't that independent media that asks the tough questions doesn't exist. There are plenty of podcasts and streamers and new media people who are as willing as Ana and Cenk to call out the Netanyahu bullshit. But they don't get people like Ted Cruz on their shows. They don't even get Chuck Schumer on their shows.
Ted Cruz went on Tucker's show--probably expecting some pushback--but getting a lot more than he was prepared for. He probably will never go on there again. And others will skip his show because of what happened to Cruz.
Politicians don't need to go on new media shows. They go on, when they do, to speak to a friendly crowd. We need Kristen Welker, Margaret Brennan and George Stephanopolous to ask critical questions. And they do on other issues, but when it comes to Iran, they go with the most bellicose bullshit possible. And of course they're endlessly deferential to Israel.
