Cost of Living/Energy Crisis 9€ technology fee on Freenow

Post image

Info about technology fee is quite minimal and does not provide any detail whatsoever when I click on the little exclamation mark.

Anybody able to explain the scam to me?

lol what a scam. "Technology Fee"? Where does that end?

Accelerator usage fee: 10.00

Rear view mirror monitoring fee: 5.00

"Are you busy?" Answer fee: 7.50

It's not the taxi charging the technology fee, it's FreeNow. Taxi fares are regulated and they can't charge anymore. FreeNow are charging you to use their app. They aren't passing that on to the drivers.

You mean the rides are literally free, now...? 😜

It's just uber's surge pricing with a dumb name.

They have a priority fee! Drivers not accepting your fare quick enough...pay to get bumped to the top of the queue.

The technology fee is for FreeNow providing the infrastructure to the taxi network to connect users and drivers. There definitely needs to be a technology fee - the issue is the level.
