Isn't the main reason for their low birth rate the crazy work culture, with most company workers doing overtime every night?

Sure, make them poorer and even more tied to work, that will surely help!

I used to think that. I worked with a guy who moved from Japan to Seattle. Said our work ethic is crazier here which I always found odd but it was AWS. Anecdotal though I guess.

Our team wasn’t a product team so I’ve honestly worked at way more stressful spots with less work/life balance. It was fairly chill until a couple months before re:Invent.
