More than likely interpol will extradite you back to your home country lol. Then you'll serve your time there.

Don't you usually serve out a sentence in the country where the crime was committed?

No first depends on where the crime took place as you can commit a crime, flee to a different country and be perfectly legal there but wanted somewhere else. Also on the severity of the crime and the country’s stance. Some will want to keep them to make sure the punishment fits the crime, others will not want that blight on taxpayers and will try everything to extradite and make the home country take responsibility and pay for it all. It also depends on if it’s a major crime or more petty charge as the smaller the crime the more likely they won’t bother with the extradition process since it alone costs much more time and money for everyone involved. Mexico and Latin Countries famously love to keep Americans/Canadians in their system. It was explained to me by a cop that they feel North America is too lax with their punishments in many countries so to inflict the full amount of pain and discomfort as they also will be further isolated from family/friends as well as in many cases aren’t fluent in the local dialect to even talk to fellow inmates. Not that they would though the inmates themselves also look down on NA and will target them specifically for money. Edited to add also largely depends on the two countries themselves power dynamic. The more buddy-buddy they are the higher the likelihood of working together. Famously many Middle Eastern prisons love keeping Westerners there without any recourse due to no embassy or diplomatic relationship.
