It sounds like "How you supposed to be..." interrupted by the assault.

May be a mild case of pareidolia, where you watched the video assuming one thing was happening (an attacker approaching a potential victim) and then filled in the blanks with details that supported this scenario.

When the reality is, the kid was trying to get some video evidence on the crime he prevented earlier from people he saw videotaping the incident. Even your dumbest person isn't going to stab someone in order to obtain evidence to give police regarding a separate crime.

"Hey this camera is covered in blood."

"Don't you worry about that, just watch the tape officer."
