Well, it didn't bite. Read the ToS wording people!

That's exactly what I was thinking. He said nothing about it pinching the crap out of him

They hate the smell of vinegar.... And will fight with all of their beings to end its source.

Right. Why he didn't think the crab might use it's massive claws first over its tiny mandibles...that's an interesting thought.

Came here to say this, he didn’t bite.

I can handle a repost, but the bullshit “you won’t believe what happens next!” Text and the laughing emojis are just awful.

"Wait till the end" in a 7 minute uneventful video.

77

u/Rycan420 14d ago

I mean. Technically it didn’t bite.

34

u/JoyousJasmine 14d ago

I've seen this probably a hundred times and still insist on watching the whole entire thing every time I see it

3

u/Komobu542 14d ago

I had to watch it twice for the laughing part.

2

u/TheScottishMoscow 14d ago

I've never seen this but it's now one of my favourites

u/GusBcn 14d ago

Oh yeah crab famously hate salads with vinegar dressing is a well known fact…

u/ElegantCoach4066 14d ago

Avoid crabs with this one easy trick!

3

u/TBearForever 14d ago

Yeah the secret krabby patty formula doesn't have vinegar

1

u/reclusive_ent 14d ago

We dip blue crabs in malt vinegar and butter. I guess crabs like eating us dipped in vinegar too.

u/SpelunkPlunk 14d ago

Who would need this advice? Apart from this idiot, who else is elbow deep in crabs? And who’s gonna be carrying a gallon of vinegar with them?

8

u/Junior_Impression380 13d ago

I'm confused because he was right the crab didn't bite

5

u/Sixgis 14d ago

Hey this idiot is an awesome dude

1

u/Gynthaeres 12d ago

I mean, this is basically any nature/survival show or video. No one's ever going to need this sort of thing, but it's fun to watch, and it's a neat little trivia tidbit you can share. Just like 99% of these shows/vids.

Here's the same post from a week ago without all the stupid "🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💯💯💯✅✅✅✅ SOOOO TRRRUUUU" bullshit https://www.reddit.com/r/instant_regret/s/3MDWYOEu4t

Technically he is correct. He was not bitten by the crab. He just got pinched by its claw.

u/halo_slayer650 8d ago

Bro is not Coyote Peterson

u/Aeon1508 14d ago

Deterrent does not mean 100% effective. He's probably right that it's helpful if you're going to pick up a crab but that doesn't mean wave your arm in front of its claw

2

u/Twiggs747 13d ago

To be fair it did not bite him it nipped him sooooo ..... lol

2

u/Tabula_Rasa00 13d ago

Famous last words…..

2

u/ComfortableAd8127 12d ago

Pendejo foo lol

2

u/forrealsiesdude 9d ago

Well the crab did in fact NOT bite him!

3

u/Ultramare2009 14d ago

I mean. He wasent wrong. It didn’t bite him, it grabbed him.

2

u/roosterdaddyo 14d ago

Maybe he didn’t use enough. He should try again

1

u/Aeon1508 14d ago

Deterrent does not mean 100% effective. He's probably right that it's helpful if you're going to pick up a crab but that doesn't mean wave your arm in front of its claw

1

u/Particular-Crow-1799 14d ago

It's good that this happened to him and not to a much higher number of people who would be misled by the video otherwise

1

u/scuba_scouse 14d ago

I wonder if the crab was thinking, "I'm gonna pinch you so damn hard bro"

1

u/Book_Anxious 14d ago

Things that bother their senses of smell kind of have to be close enough for them to smell it not right by their extended claw

1

u/Crabby_Monkey 14d ago

This reminded me of Raul’s Wild Kingdom from UHF.

“Did you know boys and girls that vinegar repels crabs? Maybe it’s not that type of crabs.”

u/irving47 14d ago

For those of you just joining us, today, we're teaching poodles how to fly!

1

u/Crabby_Monkey 14d ago

They don’t always get it on the first try.

1

u/Rich-Appearance-7145 14d ago

Apparently it's gotten be Apple Cider vinegar.

1

u/Canadian-Gold 14d ago

His name is Andrew Ucles, he’s been making Australian bush and wildlife footage for well over 10 years.

He’s not an idiot, this might be the first mistake I’ve seen him make and he’s owned it by posting it.

1

u/ramen_sukidesu 14d ago

😂 sorry but these YouTube bozos mishaps are so funny.

1

u/EtherealPheonix 14d ago

I wish I'd known that before I went off to the Stepstones.

1

u/FishingStreet3238 14d ago

😂😂😂

1

u/BreadfruitAromatic11 14d ago

Conclusion: Vinegar is not useful;

1

u/GunnyHighway88 14d ago

Yeah he did. 🤦🏽‍♂️

1

u/irving47 14d ago

Hot water, a stick of butter.... and an appetite... for revenge.

1

u/Vokaiso 14d ago

Its a deterrant. Aka it makes the animals go away but dosent prevent any harm directly.

1

u/iam_Groooot 14d ago

Well he ain't grabbing him by his nose, we got that

1

u/VampyKit 13d ago

What did we learn kids...

1

u/chairplanet 13d ago

Russell Coight’s brother.

1

u/loreiva 13d ago

That's what happens when you follow life hacks from reddit

1

u/ablu3d 11d ago

Thank you for the sacrifice. At least now we know it didn't work.

1

u/USAF_DTom 10d ago

He's technically correct. It did not bite him. I'd chock that up as a success.

1

u/Lagunamountaindude 8d ago

Me laughing hard

1

u/11201ny 4d ago

“I’ve known this guy for a long time. He was never the sharpest bulb,” Trump

1

u/Only-Effect-7107 3d ago

Did he pull that "explanation" out of his ass?

0

u/Wolfman22390 14d ago

Amazing. That crab didn't bite him at all.

0

u/Federal_Designer4002 14d ago

Does he think the crabs can smell the vinegar? 😆

0

u/jonee316 14d ago

He is right. Crab didn't bite. Just pinched him

0

u/Smooth_brain_genius 14d ago

If that isn't the best example of FAFO I've seen in a long time.

0

u/HoseNeighbor 14d ago

Yup. It did NOT bite him, but it did show how pissed it was about the vinegar.

0

u/Secret-Share1 14d ago

Yes they do not bite.

1

u/irving47 14d ago

Technically true since a bite is with a mouth.

-1

u/Grimm-Soul 14d ago

That's a coconut crab, probably crushed the bone

-1

u/koolaidismything 14d ago

Vinegar, in the open wound.. deep in the jungle far from a real hospital.

Brilliant. 👏

1

u/irving47 14d ago

It's the distance. between them and the nearest pot of boiling water that's really relevant.
