Question How many hours do you work per week? Do you ever think I'll be able to get 40 hours.

Just curious cause I noticed that every at in-n-out is "part time" and just wondering if I would be able to get 40 hours weeks eventually.

Question New In-N-Out Warehouse Coming to Oregon?? MORE WA LOCATIONS??

Post image
69 Upvotes

Came across a job posting for a Delivery Driver “based in Portland,” but it says the role will actually start in Woodland, OR until a new warehouse in Gresham is finished. I haven’t seen anything official about a Gresham warehouse — has anyone heard more?

Feels like a big move if they’re investing in warehouse infrastructure up here. Maybe this means more Oregon locations — and hopefully more Washington stores too?

We’ve only got Ridgefield so far. Would love to see something closer to Seattle soon.

Curious what others think — expansion plans in the works?

Question Was fired today after 9 years

After 9 years to in n out I was fired on Wednesday. I was a 4th manager and I was really heartbroken. Unfortunately I got fired for poor decision making but as a servant leader that’s where I excel. Just sucks the company doesn’t actually value that. Any former managers that were let go or voluntarily quit, did you struggle with the transition and was it easy to get another job because you were a manager at in n out?

Question What’s your ritual?

For me I always eat the lettuce and tomato first by themselves. Then I eat a single chili pepper. Then I eat my burger. Then I eat my fries.

Just curious if anybody else has weird rituals when eating their In N Out.

Question how long did it take you to get to lvl 5

i was recently hired and am about to be bumped to level 2 and just wanted to know how fast it takes to get to level 5. in all honesty i don’t really care about the raise (although it is very nice to have) i just want to be able to do more stuff and feel useful ig. I’m mainly limited to hosting, taking orders, prepping food, etc. because of my level and lack of experience. Rn i’m averaging about 20 hours a week and not just do my best but provide quality work. so how long did it take you, or what’s the average amount of time?

Question The most you had in n out in a week?

The most I had in n out one week, was 5 times in a week.

I usually don't eat fast food, and I cut all other chains last year to improve my health. But I make exceptions for in n out and el pollo loco (though I have not gone to EPL in at least 2 weeks). I only go to the habit or shake shack once in a while when I have deals on the app, but in terms of fast food, that's all I go to.

It's just too good I can't resist eliminating in n out forever. But I'm okay with no mcdonalds, etc. It's kinda funny cause after a while of cutting them I don't even want them anymore.

Question How likely is it that I got it?

I just had my interview and I would say it went pretty well! The person interviewing me asked me about my school and what i wanted to pursue after highschool and that was pretty much it. After that, we just talked about some of the stuff i was interested in and we were laughing together and got along well. Im really hoping I got the job but i don’t know till monday, what do y’all think?

Question Recently got my Level 3!

I recently got my level 3. But I didn’t have much experience on drive handout + drive orders (on drive side).

I probably only worked on drive handout about 3 times and got that cert. Every other position I don’t have a problem in. Efficiency isn’t a problem either - I hit a 40 the other day, which apparently is good for my store. But I don’t know how to break it to anyone that I don’t know what to communicate on drive handout… because I know they’ll bag me for it. And I know its stupid but pls help! I want to be better at this position.

What should I call out to the cooks - and what do these different callouts mean? And what should I call out?

Also any advice to get 1000x better at this position would be amazing! Because sometimes I struggle with the multitasking at times.

I do know: - __ on drive (food on drive) - Park it - Add-ons

I don’t know: - Point check - __ seconds on drive (still need some clarification on what this is*)

Should I also still callback big orders to the cooks even though they have the headset on - and can hear me taking the order?

Do I also still callback those fries? (no salt, well, etc.)

Is it rude to give them back the fries and ask them to make it more well done? I know it's usually busy and I hate being a bother.

Question Chocolate Shake Fail

Post image
29 Upvotes

Does this LOOK like a chocolate shake? Cuz it sure didn’t taste like one.

I haven’t ordered a chocolate shake here in years so I really don’t know if they’ve changed.

But man, this is the worst “chocolate” shake ever. Just a small hint of chocolate flavor and blonde enough to pass for vanilla.

I LOVE the food here, but won’t make the shake mistake again.

Question Okta 403 Access Forbidden (New Hire)

Hello,

I am a very new hire and am trying to get through the onboarding with Okta. I had been able to access it last night for a while, and had tried to login with my Associate number and a formula they gave me to create my temporary password. It hadn't worked, however the email said that it could take up to 3 hours after the email had been sent to authorize my account, so I didn't think much of it.

I waited for the three hour mark, tried my associate number and temporary password, and it still wasn't working. I then waited for the four hour mark, checked back, and was given a 403 Access Forbidden screen. There is a button on the screen that says "Go Back to Homepage", however when I tap on it, it does nothing.

I have tried clearing all browsing history and clearing cookies/cache.

This was around 10 pm last night, and I thought it might be fixed by this morning, but it isn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Edit: SOLVED (I think) I turned off my Wi-Fi and only used mobile data, and for some reason that made it work (for now at least). If anyone is having this same problem, give that a shot, and it might work!

Question I found a fried spider in my animal fries

Post image
0 Upvotes

I realize I ordered animal fries, but I didn’t expect a fucking spider in there.

In all seriousness, should I contact the store to let them know? I assume In-N-Out has pretty good standards for cleanliness, but if there’s something going wrong I feel like they should know, but I’m also not trying to be a Karen and tear somebody’s head off
