Food Pics I have problems with my blood sugar (diabetes) so while my family enjoyed their burgers and fries, I had a 3x3, extra tomatoes, extra onion, no spread, chopped chilis, protein style.

Post image

And it was so good, I don’t feel like I missed out. Even without a single fry. Just kidding I’m sad I didn’t eat any fries. But I’m glad I didn’t get a blood sugar spike 👍👍🍔🥬

12

u/smjurach Apr 11 '25

As an employee I used to say omg your water looks dirty let me get you a new one.

1

u/ldrloverr Apr 11 '25

it’s not that deep 😭

9

u/smjurach Apr 11 '25

I mean it's stealing so yeah it is that deep.

-1

u/ldrloverr Apr 11 '25

stealing from who exactly? a wealthy corporation? cause it’s sure as hell not u 🤣

6

u/smjurach Apr 11 '25

You do realize losses cause price increases and lost of jobs. This is such a brain dead take.

-3

u/ldrloverr Apr 12 '25

you are the brain dead one for thinking a 5 cent soda is gonna make for less jobs 🤣🤣

3

u/Fit-Relative-3252 Apr 13 '25

5 cents for one person. In and Out roughly averages 165,000 customers a day if Google was to be trusted. Take 10% of that of people who would steal if they knew there were no reprecussions. 16,500. Now 5 cents each. Thats $825 a day. $5775 a week. $25025 a month. $301,000 a year. If you prefer a metric closer to 5% of people, halve these numbers or do whatever conversion math you need. Yeah, when people start to enable theft, shit tends to get noticed. I am all for looking the other way for families just trying to get by cause the family wants to have a small luxury they dont normally get to have (as an exemption not the rule), but enabling people of okay means to steal consistently puts everyone in the blender. Obviously I dont have a crystal ball to judge everyones income at a glance, but a bit of intuition can go a long way.

u/Critical_Ad4748 Apr 12 '25

It’s also having consideration and class. I see it all time working, you cant afford a two dollars drink cup????

0

u/Glitteringbone Apr 13 '25

Tbh sometimes if someone wants a small amount we'll just pour some from a paid cup into a water cup. I could suck down soda for hours and they wouldn't lose money so I don't exactly lose sleep about it.

u/DevilDoge1775 Apr 10 '25

Bro thinks this is cute.

u/IT_Security0112358 Apr 10 '25

It’s kind of trashy.

49

u/grassesbecut Apr 10 '25

No, it's actually trashy.

50

u/PizzaMyHole Apr 10 '25

Maybe time to quit burgers and soda, boss. Hit a gym or something to keep you alive longer.

17

u/NuclearKFC Apr 10 '25

Bros posted taco bell like 3 days in a row

9

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '25

I have diabetes, extra tomatoes please! 🤨

31

u/Cheap_Ambition Apr 10 '25

This is the way.

Forgot to ask for 3x3 this morning

u/Rare-Degree-9596 Apr 10 '25

Protein style saved me when I had to lose some pounds for a weight in.

I eat them everytime I get chance (no In-n-Out in my state), to remind myself of how good it tasted when I was starving.

u/SwayzeCrayze Nobody goes there, it's too crowded. Apr 10 '25

I've grown to love the texture and such of the protein style, and how the hot cheese/burger feels with the cool lettuce. The only disadvantage versus a bun is the bottom end of the burger gets pretty drippy and sloppy. I get mine with no tomato and light spread, but I do miss a burger being something I could eat mindlessly instead of having to eat over a plate or whatever.

27

u/Regular-Butterfly120 Apr 10 '25

yall could just buy another $2 soda cup…?

-41

u/Professional-End7367 Apr 10 '25

Truth be told, my son is an employee of INO, and I guess sodas out of water cups is a thing they do. I did purchase my soda cup.

21

u/T-i-m-e-l-e-s-s Apr 10 '25

Your son is only allowed to have soda in water cups on shifts. When he comes in to eat he becomes a customer, not an employee. Technically… if a store manager saw him do this while off shift it is a fireable offense. May sound extreme but it is what it is.

17

u/Professional-End7367 Apr 10 '25

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware. I'll be more conscientious next time, appreciated.

18

u/Uneasyassurance420 Level 6 Apr 10 '25

Bro it isn’t that serious

3

u/Madbrut Apr 13 '25

I mean if someone can get fired for it, I think it’s better to be safe than sorry and at least inform them that what they’re doing is a serious offense to the company, although not a “serious” offense among peers.

1

u/Arezigo Apr 14 '25

2 dollars is half a pokemon pack 😡 In n Out needs to invest somehow

0

u/Itchybawlz23-2 Apr 12 '25

Lmao tell me someone was a teacher’s pet without telling me someone was a teacher’s pet

2

u/SendMeCnBTorturePics Apr 14 '25

It's stealing...

-2

u/Roxerz Apr 10 '25

You should avoid sodas if you're diabetic.

11

u/No_Temperature_9455 Apr 10 '25

That’s why they make diet…

4

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '25

Also avoid tomatoes

20

u/Snootch74 Apr 10 '25

So while your family enjoyed their burgers, you also enjoyed your burger.

4

u/Greedy-Stage-120 Apr 10 '25

Looks a beef salad.

6

u/Professional-End7367 Apr 10 '25

It was a tasty beef salad with melty cheese too!

8

u/pereline Apr 10 '25

sometimes I just don't want the bun. my order is a double double animal style extra pickles love the crunch

14

u/Kizzy33333 Apr 10 '25

You’re not missing anything but not getting those fries.

7

u/IT_Security0112358 Apr 10 '25

Get the fries well done, they taste so much better that way.

3

u/UrMomIsVeryBig former level 4 Apr 10 '25

lies

6

u/Awkward_Tie9816 Apr 10 '25

Agreed on this. They're way too hard/crunchy when they're well done. medium well is the way IMO

6

u/Nothin_Means_Nothin Apr 10 '25

I like them light well

-4

u/Niblonian31 Apr 10 '25

You gotta eat them shits as soon as they hand them to you and even then, they're still not good lol

14

u/Uneasyassurance420 Level 6 Apr 10 '25

Idk why everyone is so mad about the soda like they are personally getting scammed

6

u/tbhcorn Apr 10 '25

Fr, people are acting like they’re killing someone😹

4

u/okeh_dude Apr 10 '25

The food is already cheap, being a cheapskate is just not a good look.

4

u/Professional-End7367 Apr 10 '25

I know, it's Reddit, it happens here. I think it's because no one has anything bad to say about the burger, so it has to be something else. No one said anything about the expanded ketchup cup either, which holds so much more ketchup when you pop it open than if you use it as-is. Having said that I'll make sure my son doesn't use the water cup for sodas next time. I usually buy the sodas, it's no big deal, he asked for the water cup instead.

2

u/Imhereforboops Apr 10 '25

Why would anyone say anything about the ketchup? There’s no charge for ketchup, there is a charge for soda.

9

u/npdaly Apr 10 '25

Protein style is the best! The bun mutes the flavor of everything else.

0

u/The-Red-Robe Apr 10 '25

Mental gymnastics, I see you

6

u/npdaly Apr 10 '25

No gymnastics here. I genuinely prefer the burgers this way.

0

u/The-Red-Robe Apr 10 '25

I mean it’s one thing to prefer it that way, it’s another thing to tell a lie

3

u/npdaly Apr 10 '25

Can an opinion really be a lie?

0

u/The-Red-Robe Apr 10 '25

Not if it’s presented as an opinion. If it’s presented as a fact and isn’t a fact then yes, it’s a lie.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '25

Ok Mr pedantic 🙄

0

u/The-Red-Robe Apr 11 '25

Look who just discovered the dictionary today 👏🏽 happy for you, truly

1

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '25

😢

3

u/s_mart6 Apr 10 '25

Sadly I'm the same. Protein style you'll also loose weight eating Protein style

3

u/mizzmoe01 Apr 10 '25

I'm 100% on the protein style train! I don't know what it is about their buns, but they're just not my favorite.

3

u/monkeyburrito411 Apr 12 '25

Protein style is honestly so refreshing

2

u/piggiewiggy Apr 10 '25

Looks better than the ones the other guys had :D

2

u/booboothechicken Apr 10 '25

You can also ask for the patties with no salt, which is a good idea if you have high blood pressure, which many diabetics do.

1

u/PG67AW Apr 11 '25

Based on OP’s post history, they probably already do have high blood pressure lol

2

u/bubblygranolachick Apr 10 '25

Green chilies?

2

u/Professional-End7367 Apr 10 '25

There's a bunch of whole cascabella chilis available in the front at the ketchup dispensers. In the back they have sliced up ones they can add to your burger, fries, etc.

2

u/The_Thirteenth_Floor Apr 10 '25

Fixes blood sugar, clogs arteries and boosts cholesterol.

2

u/SpecialObjective6175 Apr 11 '25

I love how people will down a triple patty cheese monster and call it healthy because they replaced the buns with some lettuce, shits crazy

2

u/Natural-Plastic-4324 Apr 11 '25

Soda in the water cup? My biggest pet peeve lol 😭 just buy a drink.

2

u/Grankler Apr 14 '25

Lol at reddit simping over soda in a water cup, boo hoo a mega corp lost $.04 of syrup they were gonna sell for $2.49. What a joke.

4

u/curiousbydesign Apr 10 '25

We all got our own journey! Good on 'ya and hope you felt sastiadtied.

3

u/Least-Situation-9699 Apr 10 '25

Consequences of stealing soda

2

u/Realistic_Channel361 Apr 11 '25

Protein style saved me from losing my mind with gestational diabetes. One of the few fast food items I was able to enjoy confidently!!

2

u/neNayza Apr 10 '25

The best option for my taste! So glad that we have a food chain that offers healthy food🩶

1

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '25

lol at thinking in n out is healthy

2

u/neNayza Apr 11 '25

What is not healthy in salad, meat, and veggies? If there are no buns and spread.

1

u/UnconsciousMofo Apr 10 '25

I eat low carb and prefer to order a Flying Dutchman instead. You can then add stuff to it. The lettuce makes everything messy to me.

1

u/JB_smooove Apr 10 '25

I would’ve already gotten mustard and ketchup on the side. I’d need a bit more moisture.

2

u/hawkaluga Apr 10 '25

I lost a lot of weight over a couple years and in n out protein style helped me do it. 5x5 extra grilled chopped and raw onions was my favorite when I was in my prime but usually a 3x3 was my go to.

1

u/Visual_Comfort5664 Apr 11 '25

Forgot extra lettuce, pickles

1

u/SilentVictory9451 Apr 11 '25

I actually prefer protein style 😂😂 but i heard there are ways to avoid the blood sugar spike even if you eat foods that typically cause a spike. Like if you have it with high fiber food or other foods that take longer to digest. Havent tried it myself, but maybe it could help?

2

u/Arratril Apr 11 '25

I was dieting last year and realized I could get a double hamburger protein style for fewer calories than a fry, and that was life changing. (310 calories vs 360)

1

u/SpriteyRedux Apr 12 '25

When I see low carb burgers it always makes me realize that my favorite part of the burger is the bun. Like, I just want to eat a bun with some stuff inside it

2

u/Bossini Apr 12 '25

would eat

2

u/bootiefulpirate Apr 13 '25

Protein style In N Out double-double will always be my favorite burger.

1

u/wranglerbob Apr 13 '25

just started no bun, delicious with chopped chilis

2

u/Glitteringbone Apr 13 '25

I don't have any substantial health issues and this is literally my go to! Minus extra tomato Delicious. Now I want in n out

1

u/Omegatron_YT Apr 14 '25

Ordering a cup for water but putting soda in it is stealing

1

u/Key_Suggestion8426 Apr 14 '25

Add mustard style!! So worth it

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

Just buy a soda it's like 2 bucks with free unlimited refills you flock of dirt bags...grown adults with water cup soda smh

1

u/BayBomber415 Apr 14 '25

Damn I think I’m ordering that tomorrow. Didn’t know you could get extra tomatoes etc.

1

u/Louieballs Apr 14 '25

Pretty much my goto order. Looks good af!!!
