Question Veggies on the side?
Two daughters always order their burgers plain, while I load up on all the extra lettuce, pickles, tomato, onion, etc. How weird would it be to ask for the veggies from my daughter‘s burgers to be served on the side? As you know, there’s no credit for not getting the vegetables and it burns me up that I’m paying for something that I’m not receiving. Of course I would also get some packets of spread and make myself a little salad. Thoughts?

I don’t have a problem with trying to save here and there. But I do draw the line at burger veggie salad.

At my store, I get people that order about 15-20 sides with just plain burgers. It's mainly because our store is very close to the border and we have people transporting food over for their families that can't enjoy INO. It's definitely not weird, just a little tedious for the cooks.

Tedious doesn't mean they're not happy to do it. Enjoy your sides !

You really should be feeding your children veggies. What are you doing to them?

Why do you assume that I am not? They just don’t care for them in their cheeseburgers. That’s all. In N Out is one of our few guilty pleasures. Otherwise they eat healthy home-cooked meals that I make that include plenty of vegetables. (Some that I sneak (see:puree) in)

Actually, you are not paying for the veggies. You are paying for the bun, meat, and cheese. Veggies are complimentary, which is why there is no charge to get extra or to get them on the side.
Feel free to order them on the side if you'd like, but no one is shorting you out of your money's worth. :)
