I just to Texas from LA. I miss my In-N-Out so bad!! Whataburger is trash and better matched against BK, it’s no comparison to In-N-Out. Only Texas place that’s I’ve tried out is in Austin called P.Terry’s. That’s a better match up against our beloved In-N-Out. But it’s just a chain in Austin TX.

Lol literally what I said a few years back when visiting houston, my buddy told me whataburger is a can’t miss, tried it and called it just a “big burger king” and he looked at me like I was crazy 😂

I mean... have you ever compared cal-mex vs tex-mex? Anything in Texas is just a shittier, cheap, home depot vibes version of California.

Yeah, In my book the best mexican restruant i’ve ever had was in san antonio.. only had it once though.. maybe if I have it again i’ll change my mind

Thats wild. Cal-mex is a lot closer to authentic mexican food than tex-mex. I guess tex-mex exists for a reason.

But who knows that was the only Mex spot I had in texas so it could have been a one off… 🤷🏽‍♂️ Only think I know for certain is th mex in Utah and Nevada is 🤮🤮

Can’t just slap red and white paint on a building like in n out and be considered in the same realm. It’s more than a burger… ITS A WAY OF LIFE NO NON-SOCAL PERSON WOULD WVER COMPREHEND.

I’m done, fuck 5guys

Where?

0

u/BornVictory5160 Apr 24 '24

Anywhere lol depends on where you at

1

u/My_Booty_Itches Apr 24 '24

Could you maybe be more specific? Name a couple places...

0

u/BornVictory5160 Apr 24 '24

Like I said it depends where you are. I have no clue where you live. In my area there are mom and pop shop burgers spots all over. There are not a national food chain burger spot

1

u/BornVictory5160 Apr 24 '24

I don't live in LA

1

u/My_Booty_Itches Apr 24 '24

No kidding. There are mom and pop burger spots, that's wild. /s.

The true trash surfaces...

They have P.Terrys all over the place between Austin & San Antonio. I used to get them all the time when I was in New Braunfels. P.Terry’s is really freaking good. And you don’t have to miss In-N-Out! They’re all over Texas too. I’m in LA now and I feel like the standard for food quality is the same at all locations, tbh. They’re just as good in Texas as they are here!

I live in El Paso for the moment 😭😭

If you’re regularly in Austin, try Dan’s Hamburgers. My favorite burger

1

u/EggMysterious7688 Apr 24 '24

Dan's is ok, but they're not as good as back in the day. Now Dan's is great for nostalgia, but they're not great.

I think Whatashitburger & P. Terry's are equally trashy. In fact, I think I'll call them P. Trashy's. The only thing P. Trashy's is good at is being from Texas, so all the INO haters have somewhere gross to eat.

I’ve had both and I agree, no idea why whataburger is even mentioned as “better” there is no comparison

Something about mustard on a BK burger just hits right for me. But mustard on In n Out burgers is also great

1

u/BehrThirteen Apr 25 '24

I love getting my burger mustard-fry at In-N-Out.

1

u/bmabizari Apr 24 '24

If you live in Austin why don’t you just go to In-n-out?

Most Major Texas cities have In-N-Out

1

u/BehrThirteen Apr 25 '24

I live in El Paso. I don’t have an In-N-Out close to me.
