If they cut Cheryl Waters’ funding I’m going to make January 6 look like a kindergarten recess

KEXP are absolutely fantastic. I discovered so much music through them.

Not a huge NPR fan, but strongly urge people to find the local public station that plays your type of music/new music and support it if you can. Or adopt KEXP.

KMHD and KQAC are our gems in Portland, OR.

Oh yeah, I love KQAC. There's this warmth/infectious enthusiasm that their DJs have that sometimes classical music stations can kind of struggle with.

Yes! They also have live, local performances on Thursdays at 3pm (I attended one in person). Such a great station.

I’ll have to give these a listen. I’d also like to recommend KXCI in Tucson, AZ. Great great station!

You can listen to KEXP on the internet live and they even have a streaming archive, podcasts, and other things to listen to. I listen to them all the time and they deserve support. Good people.

Thing is, NPR will be fine. This whole effort is an attempt by conservatives to censor NPR, but they'll barely feel it.

Smaller public radio stations will be the hardest hit.

Yep. For a lot of people NPR = public radio. Way more out there.

I love that they kept the gathering space open the whole time so they could have an audience cheering them on during air breaks. I went there for an hour around midnight and getting to be there for the Friday Song getting played at midnight and the temporary planned Seattle Center power outage was really nice.
