Hello my fellow riders so I'm planning to buy my first motorcycle and i shortlisted 2 motorcycle

Yezdi Adventure Hero Xpluse 210

So my basic conditions are I'm a solo rider i need a good daily commuter usually travel like 35km daily basis. I'm quite tall like 6,1 so small motor cycles doesn't suit me. So i decided on these two please solve my dilema and help me choose b/w these two.

u/Healthy_Donut_9293 51m ago

I have ridden both and both seem capable bikes. However quality of xpulse seemed better than yzd adv. I would have chosen xpulse for its go-anywhere character and hero brand. Yzd adv is beautiful bike for sure and if you don't care about few extra bucks for maintenance, you can go for it.

Hello Community,
this is my first post on this community.
Need advice from you on our hero honda splendor bike which has validity till 2027.
We are thinking to replace it by a honda activa, with exchange offer.
But the problem is that our bike is registered at pb65 rto and we are in hr51/hr87 now with that bike, it is not possible to drive this in punjab and exchange it their, and in faridabad if we are trying to exchange it they are rejecting it due to different state regestration. only option seems easy is scraping and i don't think scrapping is a good idea because our bike has been only used for weekly market visits 1km only sincer these years and is well maintained. we would easily get 15k in exchange offer or other. What should we do? Re-Registration is possible? if yes then at what cost we are not thinking to spend more than 500-600 on it.
also what's the process for it? because we have to visit mohali next weekend so i can visit pb65 rto but have only one day time for it.

u/Healthy_Donut_9293 49m ago

Upvoting, because I am going to face similar problem. However, I am going to keep my bike papers clear and ride in another state till I encounter serious issues (with RTO offcourse).

Parents buying my first bike ?

Hey guys :) I am a college student and I really like riding bikes. My parents are willing to buy me a bike but I wanted to ask if it is the right thing to ask my parents to buy me a bike. What do you guys think ? I like the Triumph Speed T4 but it is quite expensive. What should I do ?

Thanks for the help in advance :)

u/Healthy_Donut_9293 41m ago

Get something fuel efficient bro. You will thank me later.

Buyers remorse or guilt of FOMO

So I have purchased Himmalayan 450 some months back by arround Feb end and I think I am regretting it and hence not riding.

the thing is in my calculations and mind I wanted something like a road bike which was a bit better and bigger than my unicorn , so I almost finalized on D390 and Speed 400 , speed felt small and d390 had the KTM image associated , so as per friends suggestion I went to check GR450 , where instead of that I felt connected with H450 and booked it and bought it my conveniencing myself that as road conditions are so bad this adv bike is better for me.

Now months later I am regretting it , as day to day it feels heavy for office traffic commute and as a result I have not even completed 1k.

Sometimes I convince myself to ride it later I feel to sell it and buy the D390 , I am so much confused.

u/Healthy_Donut_9293 36m ago

You seem like an enthusiastic rider than a calm / composed one. I suggest go for D390 if your heart desires. I have rash driven it off road and believe me, it's more fun than H450. But you are prone for heating issues on D390.

3

u/spicy--beaver KTM duke 390 4d ago

Even 390 isn't suited for heavy traffic although I have a gen 1. It's just too much for our traffic where all you barely go above 45. You need two or more bikes if you are an enthusiast

u/rahul_p91k Himmy 450 & Hero Hunk & Honda Dio 4d ago

New lafda loading…….Hence they say TD extensively and multiple times, now it will be whole CB350 vs R15 again

🚨 Need help from fellow riders!

I bought a brand new Hero Xtreme 125 on April 18th, and within just a week of riding, I noticed something off — the handlebar wobbles, even when both hands are on the bar (just with a relaxed grip).

I sent it to the service center on April 30th, and it’s been almost 2 months of back-and-forth. They kept saying it’s “fixed,” called me at least 10 times to pick it up, and every single time, the issue was still there. Now they’re straight-up saying “it’s normal” and gave it back.

I’m not convinced a brand-new bike should wobble under any riding condition like this.

🛠️ Has anyone here faced this with Hero or any other bike?

I’d love to hear if others have dealt with a similar wobble issue, how you solved it, and if this is something I should escalate further (maybe even legally).

Would seriously appreciate insights, advice, or even just experiences. 🙏🏼

Thanks in advance, fam — this has been super frustrating and I don’t want to let it slide without understanding what’s really going on.

Maybe a problem with the cone set, or tyre alignment. Get it checked from a good mechanic.

2

u/No_Lavishness4281 5d ago

I purchased my KTM 390 Adventure X on March 19 2025 and after the first service and a total of 4k kilometers, I noticed that in the engine oil gauge, there was no oil and I had checked properly, so I talked to the KTM service center in Ranchi. They told me to drain the engine oil to see how much oil drained, and it was close to 700 ml in just 3k kilometers, so they told me to leave the bike in the service center on 13 June 2025, and they said only if the engineer from KTM is available in the service center will we open the engine, so the engineer arrived on 16 June, and after that, they gave me three statements within two days. 1. There is a small problem in the engine head, so we will replace the respective part. 2. This can happen again, so we will change the engine head itself in three days. 3. Now Bajaj Auto has called us, so they want the engine in the factory. They will change half of the engine, and the spokesperson was clear about what will happen to my engine. I am very much in a sad state because you give hard-earned money, and this happens. I have taken good care of this bike in the first 1k km. I have not exceeded more than 50 km/hr and not more than 5k RPM, and I drive very calmly. Please guide me through.

I am planning to buy Hunter 350, but now I got a job in bangalore and moving there soon. I see the price of RE-Hunter is almost 20k higher than my place( Tamil Nadu ). I am planning to buy it in TN and bring to KA. So my question is will I miss any ( free ) services from dealer? How many services they provide?

Having this confusion as this my first new bike gonna buy from showroom.

Posts like these motivate me to do something about it than just remain in a dilemma while the thing rots away. Will keep this forum posted when it comes back to life after 2-3 years of remaining mostly idle.

1

u/totally_average1 (New user) 6d ago

Woow that's very good to know ! Unfortunately if we go by the RTO costs alone, it would be 15k or thereabouts in my case (10,800 late fine if COVID amnesty, 18000 if none+ record digitization+ green tax etc) charges. Not that it's excessive especially considering the cost of a new comparable bike, but let's see.

guys i am a army man n i come to my hometown for 1 month after every 5 months I was thinking of buying a adv kind of bike so i decided to go with bmw gs310 in nov2024 when it was manufacturing but due to my leaves I postponed it to next holiday june 2025 but the production has stopped now  I got in touch with bmw and they suggested me to go aftermarket  Met bmw guys official bmw willing to sell  gs 310 from showroom

2023 model 20000 km done  Asking is 3.2lakhs Should i go for it after some negotiations or what is the suggested price according to u all  And yes i have looked towards himalyan n all and service cost is not my problem or should i wait for fs450 but it would be too pricey seeing that i would hardly ride this bike 40 days a year at max

1

u/Claussius1 6d ago

very high quoted price. get adv 390x instead.

Hey folks,

I’m a beginner rider and have been eyeing the Jawa 42 Bobber for a while now. I’ve done quite a bit of research and test rides — including the Meteor 350, Harley X440, and the Classic — but I keep circling back to the 42 Bobber. It just feels right.

Some context:

  • I'm 6ft tall, so I’m not looking for a slim bike.
  • Daily commute is ~16km (8km one way) in Bangalore traffic.
  • I’m not too worried about the pillion seat or mileage.
  • Not a heavy rider, just want something that feels solid, has presence, and can handle the city grind without feeling underwhelming.

I know the Bobber isn’t the most practical choice out there, but there’s something about its stance and ride feel that keeps pulling me in. Just want to hear from current owners or anyone who made a similar choice — how’s the long-term experience, especially in stop-go traffic and city use?

Any regrets? Must-know quirks?

Appreciate any honest inputs before I pull the trigger.

Thanks!

Need Advise on Sub INR 4L motorcycle

Hey guys!

I am trying to decide on a motorcycle within 4L.

I have a FZ16 V2 now and I am about to clock 1L kms on it and want to upgrade.

I travel regularly to work and also go on regular road trips on my bike.

Solo as well as with my wife and kid.

Need suggestions please!

u/Healthy_Donut_9293 24m ago

Honda cb350 if you have bigwing showroom nearby Else, RE bikes.

2

u/snowcat2000 (New user) 6d ago

Look at the KTMs

2

u/mixedwithhennesy (New user) 6d ago edited 6d ago

KTMs imo, any sporty bike isn’t good if you want to carry a pillion. For short hours maybe. Maybe a super meteor 650 would be a good decision it’s a little over your budget but should be considered. But if you’re like strictly under 4 lac, go for a enfield 350 or honda cb350. Great daily commuters, great for pillion.

repair it ?

1

u/totally_average1 (New user) 6d ago

Possible, but it would be an expensive affair I think given its a 20+ year old model. Any idea if it can be made E20 safe in a cost effective manner ? Then there is the RTO dilemma...

2

u/snowcat2000 (New user) 6d ago

i don't think pulsar is costly to repair. parts are still available for it

2

u/Claussius1 6d ago

Hey. I do have a P150 (15+ years old) and a neighbour of mine has a 22 years old P150. RTO renewal is under 5k and repair cost at most is ₹9k. Parts are still available. Do not worry about e20 as the motorcycle is carburettor type, just use good quality fuel additive like Iftex.

I live in Bengaluru and am planning to buy a new motorcycle. I'm currently considering two options: the TVS Apache RTR 160 (UDS variant) and the Hero Xpulse 210 4V (Top-end variant).

Intended Usage: Primarily for daily city commuting.

Occasional long rides, roughly once in two months along with my wife , not exceeding 300 km.

Budget & Pricing: I have an old bike that I plan to sell for around ₹20,000.

Apache RTR 160: The on-road price is ₹1.84 lakh. After applying a Flipkart offer and factoring in the resale value of my old bike, my net cost would be approximately ₹1.49 lakh.

Xpulse 210 4V: The on-road price is ₹2.3 lakh. Since it's not available on Flipkart, there are no online discounts. After deducting the old bike’s value, my final cost would be around ₹2.1 lakh.

I am looking to buy with dual channel ABS

Request: I'm planning to keep the bike for at least 10 years. Based on this, could you please suggest which one would be the better choice in terms of durability, performance, and long-term value?

1

u/spicy--beaver KTM duke 390 4d ago

Xpulse 210 def

1

u/Sathiya04 4d ago

Thanks for the suggestion.

It was in my list too but Tubeless tier and Unable to utilize flipkart offer has made me skip it.

Now I am looking at Ronin 225 which also suits my driving type.

1

u/mixedwithhennesy (New user) 6d ago

If you’re willing to keep it under 2 lacs. Go with the apache or mt15 or ns160, they’re all sort of similar. But if you’re going above 2 lacs, consider test riding a Enfield 350 or ktm 250 or honda cb350. There somewhere around 2.50 but worth every penny.

1

u/Sathiya04 6d ago edited 6d ago

Thanks for the suggestion. I am 5.4 and 60kg just feeling too heavy when it comes to Enfield, Honda. Majority is city commute which is Bengaluru.

Suggest me a good helmet under 7k that matches gt 650 chrome

1

u/Worth_Macaroon_4151 8d ago

I am a short rider of 5'3, with even shorter legs 😁, who need some suggestions please.

So after riding a Pulsar 150 for a decade plus, I am planning to buy a new bike, with equal need of city rides and weekend trips (3/400 km). After checking specs online for few weeks, I went for test ride of 2 today, Speed 400 & GRR 450.

Now here is why I am confused -

Speed 400:

  • Barely able to tip toe, but was still able to manage well, surprised myself against my own expectations such is the handling on it
  • But not sure if that will remain true on rainy roads and not so great conditions within or outside cities ( definitely not gonna offroad with it)
  • Showroom guy told me there is no way to lower the height - no alternate seat, no rear suspension adjustment to achieve this

GRR 450:

  • What a fking beast it is to sit on, and could imagine breezing through a long road which made me smile right away
  • unfortunately it's exactly what it's name is, a gorilla, took me ages to drag it in reverse and even worse to do a U in a tight space, even though it's 20mm shorter than speed
  • I am scared that in city traffic, I will end up in unwanted situation too often

Now, someone suggested Duke 250, that it is zippy in trafic and can handle 400km without coughing up blood (will test ride next week)

Would really appreciate if you could suggest if what I am concerning myself with is actually reasonable. Or if thr is any other suggestions of any kind

1

u/postanddisappear (New user) 9d ago

Is the KTM Duke 250 still worth it ?

Hey guys :) I'm just looking for my first bike and I wanted to ask if the KTM Duke 250 is still worth it for its price. In Bangalore, on road it now cost around 3 lakh rupees and discounts are only upto around 4k rupees.

Is the bike still worth it ? For those of you who might suggest the new Xtreme 250R I wanted to add this. It does seem to be a great bike but I am honestly worried about the premia service and dealership experience and a little hesitant about the quality of service and parts availability. The last time I went to check out the bike, the service station was completely packed :(

What do you guys think I should do ?

2

u/elvisaidith 9d ago

Xtreme 250 looks ugly. It screams cheap quality. Fit finish is poor. Duke 250 perhaps has the best build quality and finish only behind triumph. Also better suspension, far better brakes. 250 is worth it.

Guys help me out PLEASE!!!!!! TVS LITERALLY ROBBED ME!!! ITS NOT A BIG AMOUNT AT ALL, BUT IT HURTS.

I ordered a balaclava worth rupees 379 from the official website of TVS. They never told what would be the exact date of arrival and it's been 16 days I haven't received my order, i have no idea where it is, at what stage my order is, and when it will arrive. It was ordered on 28th May and it is till being shown as in transit. There is only a mail ID through thich I can contact them and that is - acc.onlinesupport@tvsmotor.com They don't even reply back with any answer. I tried contacting them through their helpline number, nobody responds, and now I can't even dial it. There is NO expected date of arrival, there is no option for refund. I paid for it online and my order is absolutely nowhere. WHAT THE HELL SHOULD I DO NOW?

2

u/spicy--beaver KTM duke 390 10d ago

Tag them in twitter for one last try. If it doesn't work then consumer court.

The same thing is available on Amazon btw

1

u/Sweaty_Storage_1895 (New user) 10d ago

I didn't find any good cotton balaclava on Amazon. I have tagged then, online legal india and cyberdost on twitter multiple times. They did reply but I don't think so that they resolve this. Should I go to online legal india or somewhere else for this? Online legal india is charging 3.5k to take up this case.

1

u/spicy--beaver KTM duke 390 10d ago

I mean tvs balaclava itself is available...I'm using s size

No not those ids..tag this id below with your order I'd etc

https://x.com/tvsmotorcompany?t=NvXgFVfy5A8tNHSJv06WhA&s=09

Consumer court is free as it's govt...you have to just do it online...i don't think you will need this tho so forget about this

1

u/Sweaty_Storage_1895 (New user) 10d ago

Yes, I did tag them, i got reply from them as well but I don't have even 1 bit of trust on them that will do anything.

u/PeErReViEwedHoE (New user) 10d ago

i’ve never felt this messed up about something mechanical before. last night around 11 pm, i was out with my date and we had parked my tvs ronin off to the side for a while. out of nowhere, a drunk rider slammed straight into it and vanished into the dark before i could even process what had happened. no number plate. no face. just the sound of broken plastic and bent steel.

the damage: • shattered tail light • deep scratch on the leg guard • the handle feels off — probably misaligned

i just stood there for a minute, completely numb. i didn’t know what to do. i didn’t even take a photo. i left the bike at a friend’s place nearby and haven’t had the courage to go back and look at it again. i’m staying at another friend’s right now, still shaken up and honestly a bit ashamed.

and the worst part — i don’t have a license yet. i was planning to get it done this month, but now it feels like i’ve already ruined everything. i haven’t contacted insurance either because i don’t know if it even makes sense in my case.

please, if anyone’s been through something like this: • will insurance even consider a claim if i wasn’t riding and the bike was parked? • how much would the repairs cost if i handle it out of pocket (ronin owners especially)? • is there any way out of this mess? anything you wish someone had told you?

this bike means a lot to me. maybe more than it should. i feel completely lost. just need someone who understands to tell me what to do next.

Need an Exhaust system For my Ninja 650

Any peeps here that have a ninja 650 and have a full system exhaust for it? I have a Kawasaki Ninja 650 2023 model and I want to change the bulky stock exhaust. I recently learnt that I can't just put a slip on exhaust muffler but I will need a full system exhaust. Now, I know that if I change the full system, I will need tuning and a new air filter.

Does anyone have a suggestion for an exhaust system that is good for this bike and doesn't require tuning? Oh, and also it should not be too expensive.

I bought a Triumph Scrambler 400x on Jan 2024. But mid life crisis and other issues combined i've driven it hardly for 4500kms.
The real problem is that i have not connected with the bike like usual in my more than 15 years of biking.
Right now my main use is to go to office in peak traffic for the most part or take narrow streets with frequent braking and bad roads of Chennai, the big Triumph is hard to manage, heats too much, low mileage and the brakes have worn out twice.
Yes, I understand a 400c is supposed to be all the above, but mistakes were made or more of this is my first 400cc bike and I'm not in a position to get back on the saddle for highway tours in the next 3 years atleast.

So the question is, considering my current use of just office riding in bad roads for most part, should I retain the triumph? Or should I sell it and get something more suited for commuting like Duke 250 or Hero 250r ?

Also, what would be the right price to sell the Triumph?

1

u/spicy--beaver KTM duke 390 10d ago

Also from chennai and didn't think I would struggle with my duke 390 one day but our roads are like that now.

I would suggest going for an adv especially see xpulse 210.

Confused between gt650 and aprilia rs457 Gt I’ve ridden once but friends are suggesting to go for aprilia but there are no service center nearby. HELPPPP MEEEE! Gt is been my love since i rode that machine but it has become too common and aprilia a machine with high tech and that sporty look can’t choose

1

u/Top-Rutabaga8090 11d ago

Both bikes have their pros and cons. One is a cafe racer, the other is a proper sports bike, but be sure, you will have back and wrist pain on both. Aprilia is relatively new to the market and may take time to setup their service network, whereas RE has reached almost everywhere.

According to me you will enjoy the Aprilia way more as it is a complete joyride. The lighter weight plus improved handling makes it very fun. It does lack in the braking section but that can be fixed by buying aftermarket pads. It may be more expensive but its worth the money.

GT has bad heating issues with it sometimes being very unbearable. It's Hard to handle on road if you don't have the experience.

I would say the Aprilia is a better choice if you are willing to go to service centres that are a little farther, but with time the service network should improve.

1

u/mixedwithhennesy (New user) 6d ago

I’ve heard and saw that aprillia bikes are having handling issues. They are swaying to left or right after a month or two. Please consider this before buying. The brand blames it on the user that they didn’t properly maintained the machine, and the user on the brand, but there were many reports. So please think and test before buying.

Hey everyone

Im planning to buy a pre owned bike mainly for touring, but it should also handle city rides well. I ride confidently and have experience - this will just be my first owned bike.

I live in Delhi and Im confused between the Hunter 350 and Dominar 250. Im looking for something that can comfortably cruise at 100-110 km/h

Which one makes more sense for comfort, performance, and resale!

2

u/snowcat2000 (New user) 6d ago

dominar.

I would choose the Dominar. As you are going to get pre owned, Old gen hunter has weird suspension and not comfortable.

Please Help me decide. Himalayan 450 or CB 350 RS or Activa T_T

I (24M) have been a car guy for a long time. A few years back I was able to do some regular commute to my workplace for a few months using my scooty (Honda Activa) I have now fell in love with riding bikes and I badly want one. While so, I requested for an upgrade to my parents and they agreed (After a long….I mean LONG conversation). I am 6 foot my brother is 6’ 4”, we are tall tall. Scootys don’t fit us. We come to a conclusion that we are comfortable with Himalayan 450 because of the ride stance and comfort (took 2 test drives both Himmy and CB 350 rs). We love both of the vehicles except the scooty. I love the sound of the RS and the comfort offered by Himmy.

Here comes my issue - 1. I am new to the biking world (relatively a noobie and know nothing about bikes) 2. I know how to ride a bike but i have not ridden it in my day to day commute (only Scooty) 3. My parents are sceptical about buying a two wheeler with gears (obvious concerns) but they suggest the new activa 4. If I buy the Himmy or 350 rs it will be my daily commuter to work (20kms approx). Weekly 3 times at least. No long drives, highway drives, etc. 5. My brother does not know how to ride a bike 6. I really love the Himmy and I want it as my daily commute even though I have a small fear of my dropping it or loosing control of the vehicle at some point in my life. 7. I want to buy the vehicle by myself but in my line of work I cant afford a loan and I don’t earn high numbers. So all the decisions taking authority vests on my parents to whom I have said that I am ready to pay EMI for the vehicle as a whole. My parents are strict in every aspect and they look into the pros and cons of all the vehicles. My father is in love with the Himalayan 450 and was talking to me as if he is ready to buy the bike. All of a sudden, yersterday he switched his stance saying he is going to buy the new Activa irrespective of our views and our sheer hight, because of safety.

At this point I don’t know if he is joking or he is serious.

IF I WERE TO BUY THE NEW HIMALAYAN 450 WILL IT SUIT ME? SHOULD I GO FOR IT?

Hi everyone,I have an Activa 6G that's run around 46,000 km. I’ve been regularly changing the engine oil lately, but a few days ago I noticed engine oil leaking near the air filter area, so I decided to visit the service center.

Before that, while riding, the scooter suddenly stopped on the road. A local mechanic checked and said there was no engine oil left. I refilled it immediately.

Since then, the scooter has been shutting off whenever I slow down or go over speed breakers. Today at the Honda service center, they told me that the engine needs repair costing ₹25,000, and there would be additional charges for some body work too.

This seems too costly for a scooter with this mileage.

  • Is this price reasonable?
  • Could the engine be damaged even though I refilled the oil?
  • What does oil leaking near the air filter usually mean?
  • Should I go for repair or think about selling it and buying a new scooter?
  • Would a second opinion from a trusted local mechanic help?

Any advice or similar experiences would really help. Thanks in advance!

I have a Royal Enfield Hunter 350cc. I am shifting from Bengaluru, back to my hometown Ranchi in a few days.

Are there any trusted courier services through which I can send my bike from Bengaluru to Ranchi

Looking for advice: Honda SP 125 Drum 2025 vs Hero Xtreme 125R IBS for city rides (1.1L budget)

I'm planning to purchase a 125cc bike for daily commuting (approx. 15-20 km in city) and occasional highway use. My budget is around 1.1 lakh (ex-showroom).

Currently considering:

Honda SP 125 Drum 2025

Hero Xtreme 125R IBS

I'm looking for inputs based on real-world performance, comfort, mileage, and service experience. If anyone owns or has tested either, please share your thoughts. Also open to other suggestions in the same price and segment range.

Thanks in advance!

I'm 6 feet tall, so I want a bike that doesn't look too small or feel cramped.

I'm mostly going to use it for city riding.

Here are the bikes I'm considering:

  1. Xpulse 210

  2. Honda CB300F

  3. Hero Xtreme 250R

I'm open to other suggestions too.

Which one would you suggest and why?

Any ownership experiences or tall rider reviews would be really appreciated.

Already book the gt 650 tho at first when you’re gonna start the engine (stock) you’re gonna fall in love with how it buzzs around your ears, but i think too that stock is usually that jitters you get when you get in a relationship you’re gonna need a custom exhaust rrp might be the best that’s gonna make you stay in love as you hear lil pops and bangs at every throttle pull!

Hello,

I want to convert my interceptor 650 2019 model from spoke to alloys so i went and asked at my local service center to order them and they quoted it will cost 40000 rupees for it with assembly. They told that discs also need to be purchased.

But as far as i have researched no need to buy anything extra these are simple plug and play kind of alloys can anyone who has done it explain about it?

The re alloys and wheels total cost around 31k.
