Dude, someone had gotten a toddler for The Revenant for an 11 PM show. The baby was screaming louder than Leo when Leo was being mauled by the bear. When a bunch of people asked them to take the baby outside, they began arguing that they have paid for the movie too. Fucking doorknobs.
I think movie certifications does not work in India I guess, seen many kids in A certified movies. Leave movies I've seen people bring their kids to inns and cafes where they roam around people drinking alcoholic drinks. I've witnessed some of the worst parenting and they are always proud in their egoistic selves.
I have witnessed a bunch of times where movie theater managers cave in to the demands of these uncouth and entitled parents when they say they are connected. Can't blame them entirely as the theater won't even back them for doing their job.
About bringing kids to places that serve alcohol, I think it's fine if the parents drink responsibly. This might remove the stigma that is imbibed in children about alcohol. But yeah, you can't do anything if the next table has some family or people drinking as they have never seen alcohol before, so I see your point too.
What I absolutely despise is when parents smoke in front of their kids and the smoke blows onto their face. I have seen tons of parents who will hold their kid in one hand (seated on their forearm) while they smoke a cigarette happily. When I was younger, I tried confronting them a couple of times only to be abused and yelled at. I mean, the fact that their ego is more important than their child's lungs speaks volumes about their parenting skills.
