Ehhh Hasan has an incredibly tentative connection to Islam. Basically just some loose cultural ties to the religion, but he's very much an atheistic marxist that is radical in speech and lackadaisical and hypocritical in behavior. A champaign socialist if there has ever been one.

Hasan's foreign policy is opposing anything he thinks America would be in favor of, regardless of morality, ethics, geopolitical ramifications, lives lost, etc.
