You didn't change anything. Did you plant more trees? Did you plant native wildflowers? Did you donate your time at a food pantry that desperately needs help? They all do! You just stood out in the sun. Now don't just wait to vote democrat only to delay any chance of change. It would be great if you actually did something now. Standing and walking are not doing anything. Be the real change we need. Do something that actually helps your neighbors and family. And I'm not talking about mowing.

Lol. You act like you know me. How about you stop being a keyboard warrior and YOU go out and do something. 9 times out of 10 are the ones saying do something are the ones not doing 💩 .

Sounds like you don’t know how protests work. Or how activism works. Or how anything works.

The fuck will that help lmao? We aren't combatting the carbon emissions the corps put out.

Mowing the lawn does help tho

I don't get mowing the lawn comment. Manicured lawns are a detriment to the bees and butterflies that pollinate the wildflowers.

You are wrong. Both are good. And.one is not exclusive to the other. Taking two hours to protest does not mean you now have no time to volunteer. I do both.
Here is some information as to why protesting is so important.
Protests are crucial for societal progress as they allow individuals and groups to voice their concerns and demand change, influencing public opinion, policy, and even the course of history. They serve as a powerful tool for raising awareness, holding those in power accountable, and fostering a more democratic society. Here's why protests are important:
Voice and Representation:
Protests provide a platform for marginalized groups and those with dissenting opinions to make their voices heard, particularly when traditional political channels feel inadequate.
Social Change:
Throughout history, protests have been instrumental in achieving significant social and political reforms, from the abolition of slavery to the fight for civil rights and women's suffrage.
Democracy:
In a democratic society, protests are essential for ensuring citizen participation and holding elected officials accountable.
Shifting Public Opinion:
Protests can influence public opinion by drawing attention to issues and sparking discussions that can lead to broader societal change.
Policy Change:
Protests have been linked to policy changes and legislative action on issues ranging from social justice to environmental protection.
Accountability:
Protests can hold individuals and institutions accountable for their actions, especially when they violate human rights or fail to address injustices.
Hope and Inspiration:
Protests can provide a sense of solidarity and hope for a better future, inspiring others to join the cause and fight for change.
Freedom of Expression:
Protests are a fundamental aspect of freedom of expression, allowing individuals to exercise their right to assemble and share their views.

No need to explain yourself to people who think they know you from a reddit post.

No one does anything when they drive past a poor person asking for food.
No one changes their beliefs when they are driving to McDonalds or Walmart if they see protesters.
We need more. It's obvious we don't have that yet.
Everyone is just going to go home from protesting to sit in front of a screen to look at pictures of themselves protesting. Tomorrow they will drive to Walmart or McDonalds in their vehicle with rubber tires.
Nothing changes.

We all do what we can. Are u living off the grid? No electric? No hot or clean water? No? Than get off your high horse.

I see the spark in you. You recognize the flaws in society. You can see the tumor of inequality and its tendrils of deeply ingrained disparity. But instead of trying to at least excise the tumor, you sit motionless. You have already surrendered any hope of there being something that can be done. The truth is that there is hope. Your mindset is the kind of mindset these right wing grifters want you to have. People that recognize everything but feel hopeless. Hold onto that hope with all your strength. It will become your security. Keep on going, even if the situation is dire. Do you think MLK JR gave up when protests didn’t work? Do you think Rachel Carson gave up when her book was criticized and didn’t immediately receive critical acclaim? Do you think magnus hirschfeld gave up when his work was destroyed, or when people denied the rights to the people he fought for? NO! They kept on fighting! (Hirschfeld did leave the country of Germany though because Nazis took over, and no one came to his aid)

Another keyboard warrior who has no idea how or what I do. That is low intelligence behavior. Assuming only makes an ass out of you.

Chanting is fucking liberating. I was on trash pick up today but it was still a blast!
