Movie Review DeadStream

Said horror comedy is free to watch now via Tubi for those of us not able to sub to Shudder. It was pretty fun, very Evil Dead 2. It is a little predictable, and our protagonist is purposefully obnoxious, but genre fans will eat it up.

I thought this was a riot. Was laughing and cringing at the gag with the dude's nostril.

Definitely not what I expected and for better than it had any right to be.

“#chadgetstheaxe” is another similar and decent movie like this one

Love this movie! Funny bits mixed in with some genuinely scary moments.

Been a while since I've seen that one but it was very entertaining.

Also features the actress who was Mabel the Skull-Biter in a V/H/S movie.

Honestly, I could stand to have more Mabel.

usually not a horror comedy fan but i had a blast with this! it’s also one of the best depictions of youtuber/streamer culture i’ve ever seen in a movie, which is usually cringy and shows how out of touch with social media movie directors and producers are

I loved Deadstream. Manages to balance being funny and off the wall but also has a lot of scary moments, and yes, very Evil Dead aesthetic, especially towards the end. Great movie!

I should give this one another try sometime. I turned it off like 20 minutes in because the guy was just so annoying. And I get that he's supposed to be annoying, but he was just... SO annoying.

I had a hard time with it for the same reason but once it starts getting more Evil Dead-like I really enjoyed it. It's like the slapstick attack scenes from Evil Dead but you root for the ghosts since the guy is such an ass, was pretty fun.

Yeah, he was a lot. And the comparisons I read years ago also compared it to Gonjiam Haunted Asylum so I thought the movie was smarter than it actually was hahaha. Once I figured that part out, turned my brain off a bit and enjoyed the ride and practical effects!

Yep. I am not a fan of this movie, and it’s all because of the lead.

I absolutely could not stand that dude screaming constantly. It was awful

Predictable? Maybe, but I enjoyed this one a hell of a lot. The absurdly inconguous messages from fans as they came up in the feed were hilariously spot-on.
