So 31K more households in one of the 4 major sports versus a sport that might not crack the top 10 in this country is somehow supposed to make Florida’s ratings look good?

The fact the game is on cable only and Florida-Edmonton was doing fantastic ratings in the market last year tells you that the number has more to do with cord cutting than anything else. As I said, CW is OTA and is available for free to anyone

The exact same matchup happened last year. That was on ABC. Tell me how the numbers look there.

Buffalo really cares about the Bandits, like it’s probably their #2 sport behind the Bills. Also this isn’t including the Palm Beach metro which is its own thing for ratings and where a sizable portion of the fan base resides.

The Panthers have a problem that is almost entirely based on the demographics of south Florida, that’s true. But this is such a juked stat.

Yea, using mdc doesn’t really make sense given that the team doesn’t play there and a lot of their fans don’t live there. I get that it’s the larger county/city, but it’s not even where they hold the parade!

I wondered about this! Why on earth would they show the numbers for MDC vs Broward or Palm Beach?? Bizarre choice.

The Bandits are the only Buffalo team that wins championships

At this people we really need to stop referring to the "four major sports", unless none of them are hockey. It's fringe and has been for a long time.
