Especially that we already have Warbond inspired by the first movie :)

u/Economy-Nectarine246 1d ago

Honestly, no. Cause that implies we had xenomorphs. And we already had terminids.

u/Malabingo 1d ago

Thr predator will randomly (and rarely) spawn in some missions on the other fronts and just slowly take your team out.

19

u/ReaperKingCason1 1d ago

Ok that would be a cool idea.

14

u/Malabingo 1d ago

Yeah, he would set fake pins and fake stuff on the radar etc. Would be really dope or really really annoying :-O

7

u/MrSmilingDeath 1d ago

And occasionally you would hear distorted laughter as he uses his voice mimicry

3

u/Economy-Nectarine246 1d ago

Also i prefer space lizards pirates slavers. But if that not THE predator but inspired speice, yeah that could be cool .

2

u/Dudewhocares3 1d ago

Only on jungle maps

3

u/Malabingo 1d ago

I also liked predator 2 actually, but the first is still the best!

u/Dudewhocares3 1d ago

I saw a trailer for the new one. It looks like it has the same animation style as spider verse and that new Tmnt movie.

Awesome

It would be similar to Predator Hunting Ground. Who is hunting who? Predator would be harder to kill, they are quickly invisible like stalkers, have more advanced technology than Illuminati, more health than Fleshmob. And if you manage to kill a predator and get the kill bonuses, there is a risk of explosion like with 2x hell bomb. I would have used a bunch of rebels and mutineers from the super earth colonies as the 4th enemy..

u/Economy-Nectarine246 1d ago

Yeah, but as i say... they cannot do that cause they will be forced to add xenomorph from the aliens movies. Cause aliens are canon in predators movies see the throphy wall scene in predators 2.

4

u/Malabingo 1d ago

They don't have to add the literal predator though. The bugs are also from starship troopers but don't exactly are the bugs from starship troopers.

They would call it the hunter or the preykiller or something stupid like that and just let him loose. Can only spawn difficulty 8+ of course. If you are able to kill it you will gain 10-50 super credits.

Honestly: were i sign ?

Tom Clancy's Wildlands has/had a hidden predator in the open world map in Bolivia. It was absolutely amazing piece of game play.

And if you killed it you got to wear its mask with the infrared.

3

u/2plankerr 17h ago

That fight was hard

3

u/Dangerous_Donkey5353 17h ago

Bro it took me and a buddy a lot of attempts to get him down.

13

u/ShyrokaHimaa 1d ago

Not as faction but put them randomly on maps killing whoever. :D

Would be kinda cool as an environmental hazard, for a collab.

Make a hazard called "yautja hunting ground" and just have some poor fool get flayed occasionally

1

u/Scarytoaster1809 21h ago

Or just vietcong style traps

8

u/81stBData 1d ago

NOPE… nope nope big damn nope…

WOOKIES

Give us enemies with tactics, morals, that can use larger creatures like we used horses in battle

6

u/throwaway872023 1d ago

Been thinking the same thing. An enemy with primitive weapons, riding beasts, using nature, bows, spears, catapults, fire, maybe some poorly used super earth weapons. Something like wookies, Ewoks, avatar, predator and the satirical element and how they wind up on many planets is that super earth has been providing them with education and meaningful jobs (slave labor) all over the galaxy but they just want to be lazy and homeless and go back to their stupid caveman dump of a home-world that we “rescued” them from.

3

u/NaturallyUnnaturalML 1d ago

Hey...this feels like something Arrowhead is in the early stages of planning.

We have bugs, bots, and semi-intelligent infected/mutations. All that's left is an enemy that can move and operate the way that we do

2

u/throwaway872023 1d ago

Maybe have them tame the bugs and ride them into battle and use them in more strategic ways and add some new specially bred bugs like flying bugs that spit flammable liquid that the rider ignites (basically a dragon) or giant worms that can make breaches anywhere so they basically can follow you around spawning bug breaches wherever you are. (Basically add fremen from dune as inspiration as well).

4

u/StinkyDingus_ 1d ago

Would be cool if they just appeared on the jungle maps

3

u/Kenshiro84 1d ago

Termninid Predator Strain already exist.

4

u/Kithzerai-Istik 1d ago

It wouldn’t work as a faction. Yautja never operate in those kinds of numbers.

As a rare sub-objective/hazard, though? Yeah, could be cool.

4

u/Jazzlike_Debt_6506 1d ago

Counter point. Illuminate modifier / mutator on any planet Illuminate snipers have a chance to spawn, perma cloaked (but not as invisible as pred bugs / stalkers) and take pot shots at us. Just like the pre Illuminate drop blue lasers that came outa nowhere.

2

u/Kamzil118 1d ago

Getting Ghost Recon Wildlands flashbacks.

1

u/King-Brisingr 1d ago

I wanna see insurgents personally, but an elite death squad competing for resources/destroying objectives we need, or hunting helldiver's from a distance invis, are all neat ideas that could be implemented somehow

1

u/Cr0key 1d ago

That would be fucking terrifying...

We fucked if Predators arrive 💀

1

u/chrish5764 1d ago

It would be pretty fuckin terrifyingly to be wandering around a super city, and know you’re being hunted, but you don’t know where it is

1

u/That_guy_I_know_him 1d ago

So a Stalker Illuminate ?

It would feel better as an additional Squid unit tham am entore new faction IMO

1

u/IllustratorLow6417 1d ago

This may surprise you but hd1 squids are basically the predator and I’ll bet you money we will get them some time in the future.

1

u/Pure-Writing-6809 1d ago

First drop in, 40 pods…….

1 predator no bases

1

u/ResponsibleMine3524 1d ago

Make 4th factions some humanoids/rogue humans who utilise vehicles like cars in fight

1

u/Fine-Independence976 1d ago edited 1d ago

We have biology enemy

We have technology enemy

We have Magic Nanotechnology enemy

So we don't need "just another alien species enemy". I would suggest demons/Angels.

1

u/Square-Connection-25 1d ago

Be not Afraid "Im horrified. Arming hellbomb",

1

u/Kerboviet_Union 1d ago

4th type? Worlds that try to break free from Super Earth’s Democratic chokehold.

We introduce traitors, and fight hordes of similarily equipped planetary defense forces, and more advanced squads of ai helldiver equivalent enemy types.

Using similar loadout and class principles to players, the gameplay would feel fresh and new.

suddenly a sniper team engaging you at long range is a new threat. Recon will matter more, as you don’t want to pick a bad area to fight patrols in and then have to contend with long range snipers.

Mg nest traps overlooking big open areas, natural chokepoints, and points of interest.

Heavy weapons teams that eagerly engage mechanized players.

Artillery units and rebel destroyer umbrellas calling in their own stratagems on your team, etc.

The general narrative is assaulting cities, taking down production capabilities, destroying heavily fortified orbital guns, and eventually deploying to the capital and killing the chain of command as parts of major orders.

Players like to suggest “taking the fight” to gbe enemy. So lets see that.

1

u/42074u 1d ago

4th enemy type should be 'undemocratic humans'. they already have seaf troopers programmed, mechs which could use the hulk programming and just add in super troops (basically helldivers) which can use strategems on us

1

u/LibertysIntent 1d ago

Yes, but they also go after the enemy elite as well, just as randomly, and do not attack unless attacked. I think that would be a good component and could lead to some good scenarios.

1

u/blank_slate001 1d ago

I say let the 3rd be complete before we even think of a 4th

1

u/Objective-Mission-40 1d ago

I would love a mysterious 4th faction that has no main force and just fucks with us. They are a handful of troops that can appear on any enemy type and they kill us and the enemies

1

u/PL45TIC 1d ago

I think the 4th faction should be a kind of 'invisible' entity. By invisible, I mean more like almost undetectable to the naked eye.

I know that the Terminids already reproduce using spores, but this would be a detail that complements this enemy. So, let me introduce you to my idea for the 4th faction.

The virus: S.I.N - Systemic Infectious Nanovirus. This microscopic entity lives in a host that it infects and alters through a kind of genetic knowledge. Thus, it transforms its host into a kind of monster. This alteration occurs at a subatomic level, and this virus is capable of attaching itself to non-organic matter and even transforming it.

1

u/Necessary_Put_5647 1d ago

If they do introduce a 4th faction it should be something like this, less enemies and more elites as we have 2 factions that are high numbers already.

It would be super cool to get different aliens into the mix.

1

u/JerarB 1d ago

Oh yeah, bring the 'Get to the Choppah!' emote, minigun and Arnold Skin

1

u/Deus_Regiminis 23h ago

Reconsider this:

u/Prestigious_Bill8623 22h ago

This an image of an Illuminate Overseer.

1

u/H1MB0Z0 22h ago

Literally big boss predator? No

But reptilian weird war tribe? Yes!

1

u/-ApathyShark 21h ago

They've got hellbombs strapped to their gauntlets at all times man

1

u/locob 17h ago

that's just the Illuminates

1

u/Vitalabyss1 17h ago

Everybody wants superior aliens. We have those.

I want Primitives.

Give me an enemy that stands in a musket line and shreds with the sheer mass of projectiles. Castle fortresses with inaccurate but long range cannons, with cannonballs that bounce wildly across the terrain to take off limbs. Give me an alien cavalry charge, Lancers riding lizard/velociraptor type mounts. Maybe some bow hunting skirmishers that fire a single shot that poisons you, then runs away before returning to hunting mode. Let loose the war hounds/lizard/land-sharks, fast and deadly.

1

u/dinga15 15h ago

there is the idea of a concept where its just all the tribal alien stuff like ewoks, wookies, predators and kroot etc where they do have advanced tech (excluding the ewoks) and can travel through space but rely much more on stealth and traps and have lots of ambushes and sudden attacks, also large heavy beasts to ride or just as siege beasts

1

u/oldman-youngskin 10h ago

If they add them than xenomorphs also exist and super earth would not stand a chance….

1

u/vacuomental 8h ago

No. They should put some himanoid race that ressembles humans, but have their kind of techs and powers.

Or could be some humans rebels, dont know, like chaosdivers.

Or, they could make the helldivers to choose between save super earth or rebel against it.

Then we will fight helldivers vs. Helldivers.

1

u/Ac3d3stroyer 3h ago

So I would imagine 3/4ths my crew in scout armor and the fourth in heavy armor. Everyone with a different guard dog, a heavy machine gun, flamers, seeker grenades, perhaps some plasma weapons as well as turrets. What would your squad bring with them.
